Wearing sandals wreaks havoc on your feet, and often leaves you with dry, cracked heels and calluses. But instead of turning to pricey foot lotions and treatments to fix this annoying problem, you actually only have to head to the kitchen. If you have time before bed, soak feet in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes, wash them, and apply your regular lotion. Then, heat up a small amount of olive oil in the microwave (only a few seconds – you don’t want to burn your feet!). Put the oil in two plastic sandwich bags, ripping the bags so that your heel fits nicely the corner and are covered with oil. Tape the bags of oil to your feet to secure them, and give your heels some time to soak in the oil before removing the bags. Go to sleep with socks on tonight so your feet can absorb the moisture overnight. Do this twice a week for super soft heels all year long!
