Jessica Simpson wowed us in this pink printed dress for her appearance on Wednesday's Late Show with David Letterman. We loved the color, print, fit, and surprisingly the length (we usually worry that this length on petite women overwhelms their frame). We also love her '40s style beauty with the wavy locks and bright lips.

Amanda Seyfried and Zoe Saldana show their love for luxury label Louis Vuitton at the Louis Vuitton private dinner held on the Rodeo Drive store's rooftop last Saturday, wearing stylish looks from the latest 2010 collections. 

Both ladies topped their fancy frocks with chic black jackets to give their look an edge. We love the sequins on Zoe's Louis Vuitton jacket both for its unexpected glamour and great fit. Time and time again Louis Vuitton is a label that stars turn to for trendsetting looks and luxe accessories.

Although we love a good plunge neck dress, lately we've been captivated by the backs of dresses. Just this week at the E! Oscar Viewing and After Party red carpet actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Dancing With the Stars Edyta Sliwinska, and actress Jessica Lowndes wowed us with the backs of their dresses.

When going for the element of surprise, the sexy or plunge back dresses always do the trick. Demure from the front and sensual from the back, these dresses always look chic. We are especially loving Jessica's LBD with the criss-cross back.

Just as we were about to do a "What was she thinking?" post about Avatar actress Zoe Saldana's couture Givenchy dress at last night's Academy Awards, we were suddenly overcome with a feeling of mixed emotions over the look.

Although we feel like there is too much going on with Zoe's dress, we also can't help feeling the look is fashion-forward and quite glamorous. Without question we love the beaded bodice, the color of the dress, and the intricate detail of the ruffled tulle at the bottom of the gown. However we're still on the fence about the ombre treatment on the tulle and the front slit.

We've been all over the red carpets this year and really enjoying the fashions, but there is one show we were waiting for : The Oscars. Last night's 82nd annual Academy Awards did not disappoint, bringing many gorgeous looks. Here are our favorites of the night:

Ruffled and Tiered Dresses

Demi Moore in Atelier Versace, Diane Kruger in Chanel, and Elizabeth Banks in Versace all worked the ruffled dress trend. Given the possibility of overdoing ruffles we think the ladies all did a great job of choosing dresses that didn't overpower them.

One-Shoulder Dresses

Queen Latifah in Badgley Mischka Couture, Tina Fey in Michael Kors, and Sigourney Weaver in Lanvin all looked radiant in one-shoulder dresses. All the dresses were very sleek and visually interesting.

Strapless Gowns

Kristen Stewart in Monique Lhuillier, Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham (above top photos),Mariska Hartigay in Vera Wang, and Charlize Theron in Christian Dior (above bottom photos) all went for traditional strapless gowns. We love the sweetheart necklines and fit of Kristen and Miley's dresses, and the volume and flair of Mariska and Charlize's dresses.

Voluminous Dresses

Jennifer Lopez in Armani Prive, Penelope Cruz in Donna Karan (above top photos), Amanda Seyfried in Giorgio Armani Prive, and Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta (above bottom photos), all graced the red carpet in rich full gowns. While Jennifer, Amanda, and Cameron chose ethereal white gowns with texture and beading detail,  Penelope chose a rich wine color with a pretty sheen.

While we'd love to tell you our best dressed, we must admit we are deadlocked between Cameron Diaz, who stunned us with her glamour, and Penelope Cruz, who wowed us in her elegant Donna Karan gown. Who do you think was best dressed?

The stars came out Wednesday night for the 7th Annual Global Green USA Pre-Oscars party, to raise funds and awareness for national initiatives to fight climate change. Singer Melanie Brown (Mel B of the Spice Girls), singer Nicole Scherzinger, tennis star Serena Williams, and model/entrepreneur Josie Maran all turned out in various glam looks.

We especially love Serena's pretty sequins dress and patent platform pumps. Nothing says party like sparkles.

We can always count on Beyonce to liven things up with her accessory choices, and this cobalt bag we spied her wearing leaving a Paris restaurant was no exception.
