Lauren Conrad has debuted the first portion of her fashion line at shoplaurenconrad.com. We were surprised by the simplicity of her pieces.....and their steep price tags. Most of them are over $100. We were expecting more variations of designs and better-quality fabric. Basically, there are eight styles and they all pretty much come in the same four colors (black, ivory, navy and burgundy). We hope the extended line she introduces in the new year will have a little more uniqueness.

Sorry to do it Lauren, but we've tracked down doppelgangers for a few of your styles.....at much lower price points.

Jennifer Lopez was spotted in London recently at the tail end of London Fashion Week. We love her trenchcoat/dress, but she completely over-accessorized this outfit. Everything is beautiful...but it's too much. The bag is gorgeous, but a different shade of green makes it distracting. The bag's brown details fight with all the black in the outfit. Love her boots, but she shows a lot of leg and no arm, thanks to her opera-length leather gloves...and that looks kind of odd. The hat is completely unnecessary. Less is more JLo. So much more.

This outfit would have worked if she lost the hat and the bag and switched out her long gloves for a pair of short wrist gloves. We think these gloves from Nordstom (in any of the colors) would have been great. Or if you prefer Jennifer's opera-length gloves, they're available too.

The bag would be perfect with dark wide-leg jeans and a crisp white menswear dress shirt tucked in. That would really show it off. Love the shape of the bag though...wonder who makes it?

Desperate Housewives starlet, Andrea Bowen, sported a fun geometric-print dress at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party last week. Most stylists would tell their clients to stay away from such a vivid pattern, but Andrea wears it well with the perfect pair of pumps to match. We're pretty sure they're the new MARC by Marc Jacobs mary jane pump. In any case, a similar color combo is available now from shopbop.com. This is a shoe to build an entire Fall wardrobe around!

The new season of Desperate Housewives premieres Sunday September 30th.

Kristin Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall all sported different looks on the New York set of the Sex and the City movie on September 21st. The HBO series, known for its fashion, finally got the green light and is in full production mode. And of course, the irreplaceable Patricia Field returns as the costume designer for the film (she styled the actresses during the series and also styled The Devil Wears Prada). The movie is expected to be released in May 2008.

Celebs like Angelina Jolie have been spotted carrying Gerard Darel handbags. This designer line is very popular in Europe and catching on in the United States. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt walked the red carpet at the U.S. premiere of Brad's new flick, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Flawless. The both of them. Just flawless.

Sarah Jessica Parker was on set of the Sex and the City movie in New York in character as the daring fashionista, Carrie Bradshaw. If you're feeling brave, we've replicated this look with finds from shopbop.com.

First, we adapted the look for Fall by switching a cream dress for SJP's white dress. You could also add black opaque tights to really make it appropriate for the colder season. Carrie's white and gold flower is a bold statement (and clearly a nod to her earlier sartorial statements in the SATC series), but probably not practical for most. This enamel ring by Kenneth Jay Lane is remarkably similar, but is more understated worn as a cocktail ring. Juxtaposing an edgy and clunky leather heel with a delicate dress is the key to this outfit's success. This pair by Ash definitely fits the bill.

Katie Holmes took to the streets of Berlin, Germany recently with the adorable Suri Cruise. We’re not really feeling the menswear trousers (or little Suri's bowl cut to be perfectly honest), but we dig Kate's tone-on-tone ruffled shirt and scarf and her cozy cardigan. Posh Beckham? More like Posh Barbie. Victoria Beckham arrived at the Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 Runway Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City in a very unfortunate purple and silver frock.

This dress has an elegant design, but the fit is all wrong. We know Posh Spice has a near-perfect physique, but her décolletage detracts from the sleek look of the dress. Her handbag, while probably very expensive, looks like it's made for a girl playing dress up. Also, matching your handbag and your shoes isn't necessary, especially with such a bright color like this electric purple. Matching your handbag to your shoes to your dress……well, that's overkill.

We heard the Spice Girls are reuniting, but do they have to bring back their '90s style as well?

Keira Knightley, the new face of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume, wowed the crowd at a movie premiere at the 32nd Annual Toronto International Film Festival last week. We LOVE this look, it actually reminds us a lot of Natalie Portman's red carpet style. The dress is stunning. The top of it has an edgy quality that contrasts with the rest of it and keeps the frills from looking frumpy. Her loose curls complement the dress and the shoes are simple and sophisticated without looking old-fashioned.

Way to go Keira! The stars seem to be wearing eggplant/aubergine a lot lately, no?

Also, check out the girl behind Keira on the right in the pumpkin-colored jumper. Cute as well, right?! We especially like the autumnal hue paired with the black tights, mary jane wedges and thick bangs. Tres chic.
