StarGazing: Eva Goes on Safari.....in London

Eva Longoria Parker

Eva Longoria Parker was spotted leaving her London hotel wearing a very glittery zebra-print dress. We certainly hope that Eva was going somewhere fancy.

If not, we suggest this zebra-print shift dress from jcrew.com. It would look so sweet with black ballet flats and big sunglasses.

Do-Goodies: Hayden's Closet

Kudos to Hayden Panettiere for trying something new.

The Heroes starlet has recently been very vocal about animal rights, particularly saving whales and dolphins from slaughter. In an effort to raise money to help her campaign, Hayden has set up a website to sell her old clothes. We're not kidding.

keywords PanettiereCloset.com sells designer items Hayden has either received, but not worn, or worn once or twice. The profits go to a great cause and she's not overpricing her items either, so things are selling fast.

Hayden wears a size XS/S (and a size 5 shoe!) So if those are your measurements as well, you should visit the site. The really reasonably priced items sell very quickly. We really love this red dress with Greek key print by Voom. She's selling it for $255.

We've yet to see a really high-end designer bag on the site, but Hayden is auctioning off some of her red carpet dresses like this black ABS Collection mini (bidding started at $100). She wore this dress to the premiere of Disney's Ratatouille.

Also up for grabs are Hayden's hoodies, graphic tees and shoes. You can also make a donation through the website or buy an autographed photo of Hayden. The photo might be taking it a bit too far, but hey, she's serious about helping the whales.

Steal This Style: Magenta and Turquoise

Gossip Girl Leighton Meester Cameron Diaz

Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester recently hosted a party at Tao Nightclub in Las Vegas and her magenta and turquoise combo reminded us of the Christian Dior ensemble Cameron Diaz wore to the 2007 Art Costume Institute Gala.

Magenta and turquoise is a timeless pairing and if you have a formal event in your future, you could pair this magenta halter dress with turquoise jewelry like Cameron. But we think it's better to mix these colors in as accessories with your outfit. A basic pair of jeans or a denim skirt in any wash will really pop with these magenta and turquoise pieces.

Red Carpet Roundup: 2008 SAG Awards

Finally, a ritzy red carpet event. Knowing there's a possibility the Oscar red carpet may not happen because of the writers strike, we were particularly interested in what the stars wore last night. We weren't disappointed.

The Best of the Best
Ashley Tisdale America Fererra Ugly Betty Holly Hunter Marion Cotillard Eva Longoria Parker

Most everyone looked radiant on the red carpet, but the dresses and stars that stuck out most in our mind kept it simple in colors like white, light gray, dark gray and champagne. We really loved Ashley Tisdale (although we're not quite sure why she was attending) and our favorite was America Fererra of Ugly Betty (notice in the background behind America you can see Holly Hunter...she looked great as well, but a bit like she was getting married). Marion Cotillard's gown was very simple, but fit her very well and Eva Longoria Parker's dress was almost ikat-like in its print, but the tone-on-tone color palette kept it very glamorous, but a bit understated and we really liked it.

They Took a Risk.....Did It Pay Off?

Kate Beckinsale Sandra Oh Angelina Jolie Edie Falco

We also liked Kate Beckinsale (even though she looked like Belle from Beauty and the Beast) and Sandra Oh's giant bow gown in a gorgeous chocolate brown was definitely a risk, but still chic. Angelina Jolie looked beautiful and sophisticated, but her dress did absolutely nothing to squash the pregnancy rumors that are beginning to surface. In fact...we think it's going to intensify the rumors. Edie Falco (one of the night's winners) was also a risk-taker, wearing a very basic sheath, but she didn't do the outfit any favors by pairing such a simple dress with such a boring shoe.

Trendspotting: Short and Sweet

Michelle Pfeiffer and Sophia Bush both opted for strapless brown dresses with short hems and peep toe heels and Ellen Page wore basic black....again (if she wears black to the Oscars, she's going straight to our worst-dressed list).

Trendspotting: Neon
Kyra Sedgwick Vanessa Williams Marcia Cross Sara Ramirez

Kyra Sedgwick, Vanessa Williams, Marcia Cross and Sara Ramirez wore neon and looked fab.

What Were They Thinking?
Jane Krakowski Tilda Swinton Dana Delaney

All in all, it was a great night for fashion on the red carpet. But no red carpet is without several serious errors in judgment. We have to wonder what Jane Krakowski, Tilda Swinton and Dana Delaney (or their stylists) were thinking.

Red Carpet Face Off: Miley vs. Ashley!

Miley Cyrus Hannah Montana Ashley Tisdale

The tween stars were all glammed up at the Hollywood premiere of Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour" 3-D Concert.

The film's star, Miley Cyrus unveiled a new raven-locked look and Ashley Tisdale took her new nose out for a spin as well (she's been open about her recent surgery to correct a deviated septum).

So, who looked better? Personally, we'd call it a tie. They both look really sweet, young and stylish. But, at 15 years old, Miley's ensemble might be a bit sophisticated for her young age.

Steal This Style: Johnny Depp?

We know what you're thinking. "Why would I want to look like a guy?" But it's Johnny Depp!

Johnny Depp Sweeney Todd

When we saw this photo of Depp at the Paris premiere of Sweeney Todd, we wondered if we could somehow "feminize" his signature grungy, bohemian style into an acceptable outfit. Luckily, longer jackets are coming back in and a layered wrap is always chic. We think this look is perfect for a trip to the movies, or the park or even a airplane ride.

Night of Diamonds, Good Taste

Despite the canceled Golden Globes, the stars have had plenty of recent opportunities to get red-carpet ready. Case in point: the Chanel Fine Jewelry - Night of Diamonds at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Kate Mara Selma Blair Blake Lively Margherita Missoni Chanel

Although none of these stars would probably have attended the Globes, they were our favorites of the night by far. From left to right, Kate Mara, Selma Blair, Blake Lively and (our style muse!), Margherita Missoni. The daughter of Italian designers, Margherita always looks impeccable.

Selma and Blake's dresses are actually somewhat similar with the embellishments on the bodice and the silver brooches at the waist. We prefer Selmas take. The fit of Blake's dress seems to be a bit off and, combined with her kind of messy hair, she looks a bit like someone playing dress up

StarGazing: Katie Holmes Loves Coats

Katie Holmes Mad Money

Katie Holmes sure knows how to pick a fabulous coat. We loved this trench coat she wore before and we love these two coats she was spotted in recently. Get the look of the Mad Money star's orange/red coat at bananarepublic.com.

Red Carpet: National Board of Review Awards

It was a very sophisticated affair at the 2007 National Board of Review Awards Presented by BVLGARI on January 15, 2008 in New York City. Jennifer Garner, Kate Winslet and Sarah Lawson (George Clooney's gal) were all the epitome of taste, class and simplicity. Doesn't Sarah's dress look like the twisted halter from Banana Republic's holiday collection (shown left)? If you hurry, you can still buy it. Certain sizes are still available in blue and red.

Everyone Attends the Cloverfield Premiere

Cloverfield stars Jessica Lucas, Odette Yustman and Lizzy Caplan were all radiant at the Los Angeles premiere of the popular monster-attack flick. Intentionally cast as "unknown" actresses, they easily passed for leading ladies on the red carpet.

Lizzy Caplan Odette Yustman Jessica Lucas Cloverfield

Also at the premiere, almost everyone from The Hills!

Audrina Patridge Lauren Conrad Heidi Montag Laguna Beach The Hills Kristin Cavallari Cloverfield

Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag and even Laguna Beach star, Kristin Cavallari were all there. We're a little shocked at how dressed up Kristin is. She dressed as if she was a star of the film. Our favorite is Lauren. The print of her dress is really fun and the zig zag hem of the dress makes it pretty unique. Although we've got to hand it to Heidi, she looks way better than she did here.

Also in attendance, Michelle Trachtenberg (remember Harriet the Spy?), Lindsay Lohan and Ashlee Simpson (with a new red-haired look).
