Angelina Jolie Wore Her SAG Awards Gown Backwards!

comments
AngeAzria.jpgAngelina Jolie topped our best dressed list for the beautiful blue Max Azria dress she donned on SAG night. Well...it turns out she wore the dress backwards! Not only that, a rep for Ange has confirmed that it was totally intentional. Why did she do it? Perhaps she loved the boatneck neckline it created in the front? Or maybe she wanted to show off her back (and tattoos)? Who knows, but we're glad she did it - she looked gorgeous.

As Seen On: Freida Pinto's Scarf in Slumdog Millionaire

comments
FreidaPintoscarf.jpgWe fell in love with the scarf Freida Pinto wears in an important scene in Slumdog Millionaire. So simple and so stylish. We're also big fans of Freida's style outside of the movies, like the peach dress she wore to the Producer's Guild Awards.

Red Carpet: 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards

comments
It's a common belief that the outcome of the SAG awards are often a good gauge of where the awards will fall at the Oscars. By that logic, if the red carpet fashion is also a prediction of what's to come at next month's Academy Awards, we are in for a treat because almost everyone last night nailed it.

Red Carpet Wow!

09SAGSBEST.jpg
Striking solid colors ruled Sunday night's carpet. We loved the simplicity and grace of Angelina Jolie (Max Azria). The color was magical with her complexion and hair color. And of course her choice of accessory (Brad Pitt), was pretty genius. Amy Adams (Giambatista Valli) was completely stunning as well and Laura Linney (Michael Kors) looked so pretty in an vibrant poppy one-shouldered gown and perfect clutch.

Lovely Ladies

SAG2009good.jpg
At first glance, Freida Pinto's periwinkle gown (Marchesa), seemed a little too dowdy for the young emerging actress we are such a fan of, but Freida wore it well and by the end of the night we liked it and we really can't wait to see what she wears to the Oscars. Anne Hathaway did everything right (Azzaro), as usual and Jenna Fisher (Pamela Roland) finally got it right after winding up on our worst dressed list so many times. Teri Hatcher (Monique Lhuillier) was our early pick for best dressed as she made a fashionable early entrance and America Fererra's look (Vera Wang), was familiar, but beatuiful nonetheless.

Statement Makers....But Too Bright?

Kate Winslet (Narciso Rodriguez), Eva Longoria Parker (Jenny Packham), Christina Applegate (Emmanuel Ungaro) and Viola Davis (David Meister) wore electric hues.

Michelle Obama Wears "Lemongrass"

comments
Michellelemongrass.jpgSeveral news sites reported on Michelle Obama's choice of "chartreuse" for inauguration day, but designer Isabel Toledo has spoken out saying that Michelle's coat color was actually "lemongrass."

Michelle is certainly no stranger to either color...look at all the different times she's worn it!

Michelle Obama Really LOVES J.Crew

comments
Michellecrew.jpgMichelle Obama wore an all-J.Crew ensemble (for a second time), the night before the inauguration. We love love love the color combination here. Hey, those aren't the same green heels she wore on inauguration day? And did you know Malia and Sasha wore J.Crew ensembles to the inauguration? Check it out here.

Michelle Obama's Inauguration Style

comments

MichelleObamaToledo.jpg
Michelle Obama wore a bright solid color to the swearing in ceremony, but it was by Cuban designer, Isabel Toledo, not Maria Pinto. It was a vibrant gold/green color that you don't see very often, but Michelle definitely has the confidence and complexion to pull it off. We also really liked that she wore a slightly darker shade scarf and opted for a completely different shade of green for her shoes and gloves. Those dark green pumps were a bold choice!

MichelleObamaWu.jpgFor the inaugural balls, Michelle wore an asymmetrical gown by Jason Wu, an emerging designer Michelle is familiar with. We could have sworn it was Marchesa at first, though! It was lovely to see Michelle in a color we haven't really seen her wear before...cream...and again, it was her quiet confidence that really allows her to pull any silhouette off. She looked comfortable and completely at ease with how her figure looked in the dress. We thought it was magical and we can't wait for better photos of the dress to hit the web.

An In Depth Look At Michelle Obama's Style

comments
MichelleObamasolid.jpgMichelleObamasolid2.jpg
It's likely that Michelle Obama's most heavily scrutinized fashion choice will come today, as she stands next to Barack Obama as he takes the Oath of Office. The world will be watching, not just here in America, but around the world. And based on her previous styles, we're guessing Michelle won't be looking to blend in.

Throughout her husband's historic campaign, Michelle has been a fan of bold solids. She wears bright colors very well and for Michelle, the simpler the design, the better. We think she'll stick with what she loves and wear a solid color coat in a bright hue by Maria Pinto.

MichelleObamabudget.jpg

Don't forget though, that Michelle loves shopping on a budget. Here she is (from left to right), in H&M, J.Crew and White House Black Market. We think Michelle will keep wearing low-cost outfits throughout her time as First Lady, but probably not at the inauguration. Of course, we're sure she's got a very expensive gown lined up for the balls...so how great would it be to wear a Banana Republic or J.Crew coat?

Of course we are hoping for a fashion repeat of what she wore the last night of the Democratic National Convention. Michelle looked confident, classy and extremely fashionable wearing Thakoon. It was updated First Lady chic and we also love that she wore flats. Unfortunately, it is so cold in Washington, D.C., all we will probably see of Michelle's ensemble will be her coat and boots...check back tomorrow for a report on what Michelle wore.

Red Carpet: Sophia Bush At The Art of Elysium Gala

comments
ArtofElysum.jpgThere's no better way to say it than this. Kirstin Dunst (in Valentino), Sophia Bush (in Monique Lhuillier) and Amy Smart wowed at The Art of Elysium Heaven Gala. The Art of Elysium is a non-profit foundation that helps famous stars donate their time to children battling serious medical conditions by spending time with them through activities like acting workshops.

Doesn't Sophia look unbelievably regal?
