We wrote earlier this week about the Extreme Dior Gladiator Platforms that Sarah Jessica Parker wears in as Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex and the City movie. No doubt, Patricia Field knew the shoes would be hot (celebrities are wearing them now), but what we didn't notice until now is that the shoes are almost a cast member in the movie.

Carrie wears them at least 5 times (three pictured above) in black, brown and what looks like an off-white metallic snakeskin.

Even though this happened months ago during production for the Sex and the City movie, we had to share it. Last week on Oprah, Sarah Jessica Parker said that people who had already screened the movie kept mentioning to her that she definitely shows more skin in the film than she did in the series. Sarah Jessica denied this saying that since the movie screen is so large compared to a TV, it felt that way but wasn't true.

Think again Sarah Jessica! Although this shot will most likely NOT be in the movie, we think she probably flashed the most skin during this unfortunately windy take.

Perhaps if we'd gone to see the film with no expectations we would have been mildly amused by the over-the-top outfits Isla Fisher wears in the Confessions of a Shopaholic movie. But after going home and letting it sink in, we're confident we'd arrive at the same conclusion we have now:

Isla's character, Becky Bloomwood, is a self-confessed, shop-til-you-drop kind of gal...one that many women are to relate to...possibly even see themselves in.....

We decided to dig deeper to try and get some answers and our jaws literally dropped when we discovered that Patricia Field is the film's costume designer! Famous for her work on Sex and the City and Oscar-nominated for her styling on The Devil Wears Prada, CLEARLY she is just having fun at this point and not taking this film seriously. It is so unrealistic and such a shame.

Maybe they're planning to show the film in black and white? That would be gorgeous! And it would certainly explain why nothing seems to match...

Across the world, fashionistas eagerly await the premiere of the Sex and the City movie to see what Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha will wear. Each time new production photos are released, it's fun to preview the style of the film's stars.

This excitement should carry over to the Confessions of a Shopaholic movie, but excitement has quickly turned to dread. The outfits Isla Fisher has worn during the film's production have gone from quirky and cute to downright crazy.

Yes, Becky Bloomwood is good at shopping. But isn't she good at color coordination as well?

If you keep up with the show, we've got a prediction for you: Sarah might become a regular on the show. Think about it - Sarah's character mentioned she'd attended a St. Patrick's Day party and left early and last episode, Ted said his future wife was at a St. Patty's party he went to, but he didn't know it at the time.

Not much is known about the plot of the Sex and the City movie, coming to theaters in May. However, one thing we do know is that in the opening scenes of the movie, Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) totes an adorable mini Eiffel Tower-shaped handbag.

On Wednesday, we wondered if the outfits from the Shopaholic movie were a little outlandish. We're not wondering anymore.




That dress is crazy. Admittedly, it's been a few years since we've read Confessions of a Shopaholic, but we DO NOT remember a scene with an outfit like this.

Like we mentioned yesterday, we're loving all the new photos from the movie set of Confessions of a Shopaholic. Although, with these latest photos, we're beginning to worry that the styling of the main character, Becky Bloomwood (played by Isla Fisher), is a bit over the top.
From what we know of Becky, she loves bright colors, but we didn't think she tried to stand out in a crowd and these costumes definitely scream "I want to stand out in a crowd" to us.

As Tim Gunn might say, "We're worried."

We're now obsessively collecting photos from the movie set of Confessions of a Shopaholic. Remember this one?

Isla Fisher must be having a ball dressing in so many fun ensembles. This outfit has a classic foundation (belted trenchcoat), but is styled with quirky accessories. Some we like (nude fishnet stockings, lime green leather gloves) , others we're not sure of (giant purple neck scrunchie).

We don't get it, but we're willing to go along with it because we're so excited about this movie.

Here is one of the first photos from the film set of Confessions of a Shopaholic. The movie, which is based on the novel of the same title by Sophie Kinsella, started filming right after the New Year. Isla Fisher (a.k.a. Becky Bloomwood) is wearing a Matthew Williamson coat....we're trying to think of what scene this must be from.





Kinsella's latest book, Remember Me? was released last week and is about a girl named Lexie who wakes up from a coma with amnesia.
