We had high hopes for Britney Spears when she first emerged from her KFed slump, making appearances on Letterman and out on the town looking like she actually consulted a stylist. Then came her "friendship" with Paris, those infamous panty-free shots, a New Year's Eve drunken fiasco...and it seems it was the makeover-of-the-century that wasn't. Sigh. We had such high hopes.
