Who isn't in this movie? Ginnifer Goodwin wore head-to-toe Bottega Veneta (which seems a bit safe, but if we could wear head-to-toe Bottega Veneta, we would too). Drew Barrymore had a bit of a fashion mistep (we tried to find a flattering angle of this dress, but there wasn't one). It just wasn't the right dress for Drew - remember how amazing she looked at the Golden Globes?
Scarlet Johansson and Jennifer Aniston were total opposites (feminine and floral vs. masculine and black) and Jennifer Connelly wowed in green Balmain.

Angelina Jolie (in Armani), Kate Winslet, Freida Pinto, Penelope Cruz and Emma Watson (Temperley London) all looked stunning at the 2009 BAFTA Awards in London, England (the UK's version of The Oscars). Kate won a statue for Best Actress and Penelope won for Best Supporting Actress. Angelina and Freida were both nominated, but did not win and Emma presented.
Ginnifer Goodwin's Camilla and Marc dress that she wore to a NYC screening of He's Just Not That Into You is super cool. Ruffles have been a trend for a while now, but we're loving this new zig-zagy style ruffle.Ruffle Chiffon Blouse, $14.99 at charlotterusse.com
Scythed Lawns Skirt, $148 at anthropologie.com
Jill Stuart Starla Dress, $229.60 (on sale - quick if you're an 8) at shopbop.com

Kate Beckinsale seemed a bit overdressed in Reem Acra...especially since she was an actress attending the Grammys. We really liked Jennifer Hudson's dress and her makeup was flawless.
Katy Perry went all out with a gown by Basil Soda that was straight up Hollywood glamor and she pulled it off beautifully. Unfortunately, her doppleganger, Zooey Deschanel (she was there with her new fiance, Death Cab For Cutie bandmember) looked cute, but a little messy in her lavender cocktail dress. Actually, we thought LeAnn Rimes was one of the best dressed in a fantastic Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti ensemble.
For Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and others, check out today's Star Style.

We weren't kidding when we said we were going to keep a close eye on Freida Pinto. Here are two looks she sported last week, the first being while doing press in L.A. for Slumdog Millionaire, the second at the Directors Guild of America Awards.photo on left via justjared
A few weeks ago, Katie Holmes sported a silk striped headband while running around New York City. We didn't think anything of it...we all have old headbands from seasons past (even striped probably), that we use to hold are hair back occasionally. But then we saw a photo of Katie wearing it again in Brazil and thought, 'wow, she really loves this thing.' True, Michael Kors showed almost nothing but stripes for spring, but aren't you tired of the preppy look?

It's a common belief that the outcome of the SAG awards are often a good gauge of where the awards will fall at the Oscars. By that logic, if the red carpet fashion is also a prediction of what's to come at next month's Academy Awards, we are in for a treat because almost everyone last night nailed it.
Red Carpet Wow!

Striking solid colors ruled Sunday night's carpet. We loved the simplicity and grace of Angelina Jolie (Max Azria). The color was magical with her complexion and hair color. And of course her choice of accessory (Brad Pitt), was pretty genius. Amy Adams (Giambatista Valli) was completely stunning as well and Laura Linney (Michael Kors) looked so pretty in an vibrant poppy one-shouldered gown and perfect clutch.
Lovely Ladies

Lovely Ladies

At first glance, Freida Pinto's periwinkle gown (Marchesa), seemed a little too dowdy for the young emerging actress we are such a fan of, but Freida wore it well and by the end of the night we liked it and we really can't wait to see what she wears to the Oscars. Anne Hathaway did everything right (Azzaro), as usual and Jenna Fisher (Pamela Roland) finally got it right after winding up on our worst dressed list so many times. Teri Hatcher (Monique Lhuillier) was our early pick for best dressed as she made a fashionable early entrance and America Fererra's look (Vera Wang), was familiar, but beatuiful nonetheless.
Statement Makers....But Too Bright?

Kate Winslet (Narciso Rodriguez), Eva Longoria Parker (Jenny Packham), Christina Applegate (Emmanuel Ungaro) and Viola Davis (David Meister) wore electric hues.

Several news sites reported on Michelle Obama's choice of "chartreuse" for inauguration day, but designer Isabel Toledo has spoken out saying that Michelle's coat color was actually "lemongrass."Michelle is certainly no stranger to either color...look at all the different times she's worn it!
