Steal Charlize Theron's Style

Charlizewearable.jpgOkay, please don't take this the wrong way, but, unless Charlize Theron herself is reading this blog, you cannot pull off this look. And you really, really cannot pull off those shoes.

Luckly, we have found totally wearable versions of Charlize's beautiful cobalt draped dress and cream-colored heels.  This banana republic dress has the exact same feel and look to the one-shouldered dress Charlize was wearing.

What Was Jennifer Garner Thinking?

JenniferGarnerbad.jpg
What was she thinking??

Doesn't Jennifer Garner use Rachel Zoe as her stylist? What went wrong here? Was Rachel unavailable to style Jen for the premiere of The Invention of Lying?

Everything about this look seems really old.  From the black and lavender floral print to the black satin pumps...it's very 1996.

Maybe this is one of those outfits that doesn't photograph well. The dress could be navy, and the print could be lovely up close. The shoes could be navy or a deep purple too.

Yeah...we'll just imagine.

Anne Hathaway Looks Magnificent In Mango

Anneorange.jpgAnne Hathaway looks beyond fantastic here. We're going to call this melon-like color, mango. Or maybe, since it's fall, we should call it autumn leaf. Whatever you want to call it, we love it.  And pairing it with a berry red lipstick and simple black peeptoes? Perfection.

Unfortunately, we couldn't find a strapless dress with origami details AND in a mango shade. But we did find a red strapless dress with origami details and a mango jersey dress. We say get 'em both.

Jennifer's Body Red Carpet Bodies

jennifersbody.jpgMegan Fox, Amanda Seyfried and Diablo Cody (sporting a new platinum pixie cut) were all looking chic and sleek at the premiere of Jennifer's Body. We really like Amanda's look here, although it's an interesting choice for a movie premiere, it's very Chanel and we really like the combination of navy and black right now.

Steal Sophia Bush's 50s Style

Sophia50s.jpgOne Tree Hill star, Sophia Bush, at a recent CW event, looked like she stepped out of a different decade...And we love it! These floral and ultra-feminine dresses have a 50s appeal that we really like.

Red Carpet Report: ALMA Awards '09

ALMA09.jpgEva Longoria Parker, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Jennifer Morrison (maybe she's Latina..who knows? It's not a prerequisite) and Celebrity Dish newcomer, Selena Gomez all dazzled on the red carpet at the 2009 ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) Awards.

When does Eva Longoria Parker not look fabulous?

We are really loving everything about Jamie-Lynn's look from her tomato red and turquoise combo (we're so stealing that) to her coffee-colored lipstick, the gold cuffs and small box clutch. And we really like the dress Selena (who took home an award) is rocking, particularly the subtle sleeve variation with a spaghetti strap on one side and cap-sleeve on the other.

Emmys 2009 Best Beauty Looks

Emmys09beauty.jpgSimple was the way to go at Sunday night's Emmys. The main trends we noticed were the simple, "bare" look, nude or rose-colored lips and dewy complexions. Kudos to Blake Lively, Christina Hendricks, Julie Benz, Toni Collette, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jessica Lange. So much makeup inspiration!!

Red Carpet Report: 2009 Primetime Emmys

Not quite as exciting as the Oscars or SAG Awards, but the red carpet at the Primetime Emmys are always fun because the looks are wearable and the trends are usually easy to pull off in our everyday look. Here are our picks for best dressed and best trends of the night.
emmys2009.jpgEmmys20092.jpg

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
the solid, rich colors that Julia Louis Dreyfuss, Mila Kunis and Ginnifer Goodwin wore on the carpet. We also like the unconventional sweetheart necklines each dress had.

Kristen Chenoweth (who won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series), Sandra Oh and Mariska Hargitay all played it safe, but still spectacular, in one of the biggest trends of the last few red carpet seasons: metallics.

Romantic looks were also everywhere last night...Olivia Wilde, Kate Walsh and Drew Barrymore have this look nailed down.

New Season, Same Bag! Whitney Port Recycles

whitneyportprada.jpgWhitney Port must really love her Prada bag because she reaches for it again and again during the year. The girl worked at DVF, plus she has her own fashion line and she makes a lot of money from her MTV show, The City. So she could certainly get her hands on another handbag.

So she either really loves it or she's very smart about money and investing in a quality piece that she can use year after year. Or both! Bravo to her.

Runway to the Red Carpet: Ginnifer Goodwin Edition

Goodwinmarcjacobs.jpgWearing a dress from Marc Jacobs' Resort collection, Ginnifer Goodwin looks a little severe in this photo, but we like the overall look. She didn't change much; she kept the dress as is and even slicked back her hair just like the model. She should have worn those shoes though! They are a-mazing.
