Red carpet: 2011 Emmy Awards

Embellished gowns and technicolor hues reigned supreme at last night's 63rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards. From Gwyneth Paltrow's fashion-forward two-piece frock to Lea Michele's simple chic red gown, we were not disappointed with the red carpet.

EMBELLISHED GOWNS

Gwyneth Paltrow, in Emilio Pucci, Emily Blunt, in Elie Saab, Julie Bowen, in Oscar de la Renta and Evan Rachel Wood, in Elie Saab dazzled us on the red carpet in dark shimmery hues. We love Gwyneth's fashion forward look with its modern two-piece styling and intricate beaded detailing. We also loved Evan's glamorous beaded gown.

Christina Hendricks, in Johanna Johnson, and Maria Bello, in Kaufman Franco also rocked the trend on the lighter side of things in shimmery pale gowns.

BRIGHTS

Dianna Agron, in Roksanda Ilincic, Sofia Vergara, in Vera Wang and Olivia Munn, in Carolina Herrera lent a pop of color to the red carpet in bright colors that looked sleek and stylish.

LOVELY LACE

Julia Stiles, in Georges Hobeika, Minka Kelly, in Christian Dior, and Ariel Winter looked elegant and feminine in luxe lace gowns in pretty cool tones.

RED GOWNS

Lea Michele, in Marchesa, Kate Winslet, in Elie Saab, and Kerry Washington, in Zuhair Murad were seen in red hot gowns; a trend we've seen on several recent red carpets. We love the way red gowns make a statement and the way each woman put her spin on this bold hue.

We know you have your favorites. Tell us the looks you loved!
