White pumps have been popping up everywhere recently. What’s really interesting is that the designers behind the stark footwear are pretty varied from Manolo Blahnik to Guess. Kate Hudson sported a pair of white Christian Louboutin pumps on her way into the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman late last month, which set off her Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2013 hot pink top and black pencil skirt. The very next day over in London, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley opted for the emerging trend courtesy of Jean-Michel Cazabat at the Alexandra Shulman and Vogue dinner honoring Michael Kors. Her printed strapless dress also came from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection and was complemented by a JewelMint necklace. Several days later back in New York City, Nicole Richie hit up the AOL 2013 Digital Content NewFront decked out in a white Saint Laurent chain embellished cady dress. She rounded out her crisp look with matching pumps by Manolo Blahnik.

We’re actually digging this fresh trend, but what are your thoughts on celebs favoring white pumps for spring?

Dynamic jacquard designs have been popping up all over lately. Olga Kurylenko selected this maroon Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 feather jacquard dress for the Oblivion photocall over in Moscow earlier this week. A pair of tights and black Christian Louboutin Batignolles pumps completed her photo-ready look. It was a baby blue take on the popular style for Emmy Rossum at the Broadway premiere of Lucky Guy in New York City. Her Temperley London Spring 2013 crewneck dress was teamed with silver Rupert Sanderson Elba pumps. Ashley Tisdale also opted to embrace the trend when she visited The Grove to tape an appearance on Extra. The actress wore a jacquard and eyelet Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2013 outfit accented by Norman Silverman earrings and black Vivienne Westwood platform pumps.

We’re actually really impressed with all three looks and definitely plan on incorporating at least one jacquard piece into our wardrobe this season.

Stripes are one of those revolving trends, frequently fluctuating in and out of style. Well, stripes are officially “in” again, thanks to the recent runway shows and all the stars sitting in the coveted front row. Take Nicole Richie’s black and white striped Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2013 dress at the designer’s Fall 2013 Paris presentation. Olivia Palermo also opted for stripes at Christian Dior, but her Christian Dior Spring 2013 creation included a nice pink contrast. The stripe sensation was already making the red carpet rounds last month. It was a strapless wide-leg Chanel jumpsuit for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the 2013 Chanel Pre-Oscar Dinner in February.

Sleek stripes were also spotted on the Oscar red carpet. Halle Berry arrived for this year’s ceremony decked out in a custom silver and black striped Atelier Versace gown. At the infamous Vanity Fair party, Fan Bingbing made quite an impression in this Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 ball gown. There’s certainly no sign this trend will be slowing down anytime soon. Nina Dobrev just showed her stripes over the weekend at the John Varvatos 10th Annual Stuart House Benefit in Los Angeles with an eye-catching Elie Saab dress from the Spring 2013 collection.

With all of these celebs embracing stripes this season, will you follow suit?

Sophia-Bush-Dukes-of-Melrose-Launch-West-Hollywood.jpgRose-McGowan-Dukes-of-Melrose-Launch-West-Hollywood.jpgGarcelle-Beauvais-Dukes-of-Melrose-Launch-West-Hollywood.jpg

The stars came out to celebrate the launch of the new Bravo series, Dukes of Melrose, and were decked out in a variety of vintage fashions from the Decades, Inc. boutique. Although several different eras were represented, the 80s seemed to be a pretty popular choice. Sophia Bush arrived in a one shoulder Halston gown from the over-the-top decade teamed with a MCM snakeskin clutch and gold Ruthie Davis peep-toes. It was a coral Chanel gown with side pockets for Rose McGowan at the star-studded event. She wrapped up the look with a black MCM bag and matching pumps. Oscar de la Renta was behind the blue and orange lacy dress Garcelle Beauvais wore to the launch party. A pair of Chanel earrings and a gold clutch polished off her look.

We really like Garcelle’s bright Oscar de la Renta. Which look from the 80s is your favorite?

There certainly were a lot of stars at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Monday night for the Vanity Fair and Juicy Couture Celebration of the 2013 Vanities Calendar. A lot of attendees opted for pretty bold prints and patterns in both bright as well as more subdued colors. Jaime King’s vivid McQ Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2013 dress was slightly tempered by black accessories. Brooklyn Decker doubled up on prints by paring a snakeskin and striped Preen Spring 2013 top and skirt. Gray snakeskin Prabal Gurung for Casadei wedges wrapped up look. As we predicted, Topshop is slowly taking over Los Angeles. Ali Larter made quite an impression in the brand’s Geo Spot Bodycon dress.

We always appreciate when celebs take a bit of a fashion risk and we especially love Brooklyn’s mixed media look.
