Once a fun feature on full skirts, you can find dresses with pockets now in all different silhouettes and lengths. Penelope Cruz, Rachel Bilson, Jennifer Connolly, Kate Bosworth and Jennifer Garner all sported this style in recent weeks. Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Hilary Swank and Angelina Jolie were all spotted recently rocking solid color ensembles. Is it because it's slimming? Or ultra-easy to put together in the morning? Did their stylists take the day off? What gives??
Wearing only one color may seem pretty simple, but it's actually more complex than, say, slipping on a cocktail dress and calling it a day.
The trick to pulling this kind of look off is to mix and match materials...not color. Black is an obvious choice because there aren't really a lot of different shades of black like there are with colors like green or blue. The key to wearing all black without looking like you're on your way to a funeral is to add some sheen to the look. Jennifer added rich leather leggings and a patent belt and Hilary's blazer lapels are satin. This look could also work with a dark eggplant purple or navy blue. And take a tip from Angelina (the only one brave enough to wear all-white) and wear one accessory in a different tone like your shoes or bag. Also, don't try to find matching jewelry, just stick to either all silver or all gold.

When you think of Autumnal colors, generally you think of deep reds, rust reds, burnt oranges, emerald greens and navy blues. Angelina Jolie and little Zahara Jolie-Pitt were spotted running around town with matching handbags....Valentino handbags.
Nevermind the bag is gorgeous, how did she get a miniature version?! Is it a cosmetic case? Was it a custom order? What exactly does a two year old carry in their Valentino handbag....crayons? It's definitely the most beautiful white bag we've seen in a long time. Jennifer Garner was seen carrying the bag in an equally beautiful red color. We first wrote about Eva's penchant for Voom back in March and now she's done it again. Eva Longoria was spotted last week at the grocery store in this denim dress by Joy Voom ($174). We like it, but we like this version (also $174) of the dress better, it reminds us of a dress we'd wear on the first day of preschool. We actually spotted it (and purchased it) on Alison Sweeney in July on an episode Days of Our Lives. There's also a puff sleeve version with a detachable hood ($196). We were hoping the celeb-endorsed high-waisted pants trend would have fizzled out by now, but it seems the trend is here to stay - at least for a little while. We're all for waists moving up a few inches from the days of ultra-low-rise styles, but anything over the bellybutton is just not a good idea. Hey, if superskinny celebrities like Mischa Barton, Jessica Simpson, Fergie and Lindsay Lohan can't even pull them off, perhaps this bandwagon is not worth jumping on.

The leg-baring minidress is the red carpet style of choice this season for toned celebrities. Some celebs opt for loose and flirty, while others choose tight and sexy.
Chloë Sevigny (in Prada) and Kate Walsh (in Monique Lhuillier) wore sophisticated Grecian-inspired dresses while Nicky Hilton went for a young, mod style. Legs take center stage in these three winning looks - note the absence of cleavage and minimal accessories.
Cameron Diaz (in Luella), Lindsay Lohan (in Herve Leger Couture) and Victoria Beckham (in vintage) went for ultra short and ultra tight - a tough combination to pull off, even for size 0 celebrities. Cameron looks gorgeous, and she's definitely got the body for such a short dress - but we wouldn't suggest trying this at home where you actually may have to sit down or bend. We're not loving Lindsay's rainbow dress and Victoria's '80s-inspired zebra dress is beyond awful.
