Well this is interesting...seems Candace Bushnell (writer of Sex and the City), wore a Michael Kors dress to the DVD release party for the Sex and the City movie. And it's the same dress that Kristin Davis wore while doing press for the movie back in May.

Their dresses are obviously by the same designer, but who? Richard Ruiz!
Shannen Doherty and Lauren Conrad are actually wearing the same dress, just styled very differently. We think Lauren's shorter and belted version totally works best.

Lauren Conrad, Fergie, Sophia Bush and Hayden Panettiere all wore long printed maxi dresses to the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. We first spotted this trend worn often by Nicole Richie back in June.
Amber Tamblyn follows suit (pardon our pun) and wears a pantsuit to a movie premiere (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2). We're still not sure if we like the look, but Amber's is definitely our favorite of the bunch.
Herve Leger dresses have been everywhere this past year. Take a look:
Hayden Panettiere, Minka Kelly, Rachel Bilson and Cate Blanchett all look fabulous in their Leger dresses. They knew which color to select for their skin tones and hair color and what neckline and length to go with for their body type. They also all paired their dresses with minimal jewelry (or no jewelry at all) and the perfect pair of shoes to go along with the dress. This is Leger done right. It's very sexy, yes, but also sophisticated.
Mandy Moore, Kate Bosworth, Amanda Bynes and Vanessa Minnilo also all did good jobs picking out the perfect color for themselves, but none of them hit it out of the park quite like the previous four did. Still, all the dresses fit well and they all look great.
Now for the bad news. These dresses can be tricky to pull off. Here are some of the not-so-great Leger looks:
Victoria Beckham, Sophia Bush (we usually love her look we're just not a fan of this color combo), Audrina Patridge, Christina Aguilera (Amanda's smaller bust worked in her favor for this blue Herve dress), Heidi Montag (on the bad list because the shoes are a miss and Vanessa just looked so much better in this color), and especially Lindsay Lohan (Lindsay and Posh tie for the worst Leger look).

It must be national "Wear a Pantsuit to Your Movie Premeire" month or something. Maggie Gyllenhaal wore a Stella McCartney pantsuit to the London premiere of the Dark Knight...remember Gwyneth Paltrow also wore a Stella McCartney pantsuit to the London premiere of Iron Man. And just recently, Selma Blair donned one for the premiere of Hellboy II.
Who will wear the next one? And do we even like this look?
