We were hoping the celeb-endorsed high-waisted pants trend would have fizzled out by now, but it seems the trend is here to stay - at least for a little while. We're all for waists moving up a few inches from the days of ultra-low-rise styles, but anything over the bellybutton is just not a good idea. Hey, if superskinny celebrities like Mischa Barton, Jessica Simpson, Fergie and Lindsay Lohan can't even pull them off, perhaps this bandwagon is not worth jumping on.

Fergie looks the best of the bunch, but needs to get rid of the "suspenders." And Lindsey-Yikes, shlumpy.
Even these gorgeous women can't pull off this look without looking terrible. This looks should have stayed in the 70's.
Seriously - not even the skinny ones look good with their rear looking 2 feet long and flat as a board. I say stick with your favorite low rise, not ultra and use the hip-T over your jeans and under your top to creat a great layered look without the bulk up top, the rear view sneak peak all protected. I wear mine all the time and love it! No more butt crack serving as meet and greet!

I love it, and I don't think it's true, I mean Mischa is so pulling it off, although they are all just a couple of inches too high, and I think the trend works better on shorts. not like Lindsay's though, they're way too baggy and...I dunno what's hgoing on there. But I'm totally going out and buying some hi waisted denim shorts tonight! :P
But def to be avoided if you're not tall and skinny.
Utterly hideous, extreme, and horrifying. the most unflattering jean on the planet. i was in high school in the 70's and i can tell you first hand that we wore high waisted jeans, but NOT THAT HIGH!!! split the difference for goodness' sake. these make even Momjeans look sexy. can't wait for this ugly trend to die.
Well, I hate low rise jeans. I mean, for those of us who have had kids and still have a few pounds.... the low rise jeans look absolutely ridiculous.
I love it!! I hate the old boring, low-rise jeans thing, day in & day out. Don't get me wrong, I love my low jeans, but I like to take chances and create my own style. I have a pair of high waisted pants with the suspenders and receive many compliments each time I wear them.
I always had a passion for suspenders and really enjoy wearing them with my high-waisted pants.
