Demi has served as a sort of Topshop ambassador for awhile now, but her latest look isn’t receiving top marks. The performer hit the red carpet at 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango 2013 concert in Carson, California on Saturday in an all-black ensemble. She combined an incredibly sheer tie-dye tunic by Raquel Allegra with a black bralette, a pair of Topshop Disco treggings and Saint Laurent Janis pumps with studded heel. Demi also piled on the accessories, including black necklaces and a large cocktail ring.

While we actually like those $40 Topshop treggings and that truly funky hairstyle, the rest of her outfit is way too over-the-top even for concert attire. What are your thoughts on Demi’s revealing look?

We always appreciate when a star tries something new, but Eva kind of overdid it at the recent Lays Do Us A Flavor contest winner unveiling in Hollywood. The actress opted for some edge courtesy of this black Izmaylova creation with sheer sleeves. Her unconventional little black dress wasn’t the real issue, though. Eva should have left well enough alone and skipped the Reed Krakoff mesh peeptoe booties along with the smoky eye.

Are you loving Eva’s edgier look or do you think she took it a step too far?

Back in December, we highlighted the fact that many celebs were opting to wear coats as dresses and apparently Amanda is trying to keep the trend going into spring. The actress attended the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival screening of Trust Me in New York City on Saturday wearing a striped navy and black Band of Outsiders Fall 2013 blazer dress. In theory, this really could have been a chic look, but it somehow comes across as too boxy thanks to those exaggerated shoulders. Amanda’s all-black accessories, including black tights, a gold-trimmed Smythson suede clutch and matching pumps, weighed down the look instead of elevating the ensemble.

Do you think Amanda missed the mark here with her striped blazer dress?

Jennifer is one of those celebs who never really takes a fashion risk. So, we have to give her a bit of credit for stepping slightly out of her comfort zone with this Christian Dior tuxedo-style bustier and shorts combination at the premiere of Call Me Crazy: A Five Film in West Hollywood. Unfortunately, her Spring 2013 ensemble casts a very unflattering silhouette and the red carpet for a project she executive produced probably wasn’t the best time to break out this strapless short suit. There’s also the disappointing fact that she’s back in black instead of opting for a brighter hue. Even her dynamic accessories, including a gold-accented Tom Ford clutch and black Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps, couldn’t save this ill-advised outfit. We can’t help longing for Jennifer to take some style cues from her former Friends character because at least Rachel made a few bold choices, especially while working at Ralph Lauren.

What do you think of Jennifer’s most recent red carpet look?

Maggie has managed to bring a bit of individuality to the red carpet over the years and her free-spirited style usually manifests in fashion-forward, slightly quirky ensembles. That wasn’t the case on Monday night, though, when the actress attended the 2013 Sundance Institute Theatre Program Benefit in New York City. Maggie’s multicolored paisley-printed Samuel semi-sheer dress by Isabel Marant somehow seemed to overwhelm the star with its billowy shape, balloon sleeves and midi length. A tassel-trimmed leather belt surprisingly did little to rein in the silk-gauze creation. She wrapped up her look with a studded pair of heels.

Although we really want to like this look because we’re admirers of the boho trend, we just can’t get behind Maggie’s rather lax take. We also can’t help feeling that if Rosie Huntington-Whiteley or Ginnifer Goodwin wore the piece out and about, we would be raving about the result since both stars would have fully committed to this potentially chic look.
