Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2013 collection was full of abstract prints and one of her more colorful gowns has already been worn by two celebs. Ali Larter selected the standout belted one shoulder piece when she attended the LA Art Show opening night premiere party back in January. An Edie Parker pearlescent clutch completed the look. Earlier this month, Kylie Minogue also opted for the subtly ruffled gown at the EIF Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s An Unforgettable Evening 2013. The singer switched out the runway’s light blue belt for a striking orange one.

We love the delicate, flowing nature of this gown and think Ali made the right call by keeping that light blue belt. Do you agree or do you like Kylie’s take on the Spring 2013 look?

Roksanda Illincic provided a new twist on colorblocking in her Pre-Fall 2012 collection with her Izumi dress. The sleek creation featured bold frilled cuffs, which provided a pretty polished accent. Princess Beatrice opted to wear the blush-colored dress with electric blue cuffs to the Britain Creates 2012: Fashion & Art Collusion gala in London back in June 2012. The royal rounded out the look with an embellished clutch by Anya Hindmarch and a blue pair of Nicholas Kirkwood pumps. Just a few days later in Paris, Marisa Tomei also appeared in the dynamic dress at the Berluti private dinner during Paris Fashion Week Menswear Spring 2013. A nude clutch and Aperlaï Demi Circle sandals served as accessories. Rita Ora became the latest star to sport the Izumi when she attended the Future Vintage launch for the annual British Designers’ Collective boutique in England last week. Her red version was combined with statement earrings as well as white and yellow Nicholas Kirkwood sandals.

While we love the intense red hue of Rita’s version, we have to give this one to the princess because both Rita and Marisa’s accessories distracted from the eye-catching dress. Do you agree that Princess Beatrice wore it best?

Cut-out details appear to be one trend with some real staying power. Designers were still embracing the novelty even into the fall collections. It’s a sleek black dress from the Michael Kors Spring 2013 offering, though, that has become extremely popular on the red carpet. Gwyneth Paltrow wore the shorter version of the geometric creation back in October of last year at the 2012 Golden Heart Awards in New York City. The actress accessorized with a black cuff, a ring by Silvia Furmanovich and white Jimmy Choo pumps. Alicia Keys rocked the full-length gown over in Cannes this January at the 2013 NRJ Music Awards. She polished off the look with a Vhernier statement necklace. The latest celeb to step out in the cut-out gown is Myleene Klass. She attended the Laurence Olivier Awards in London over the weekend and kept the focus on the eye-catching piece by keeping her accessories to a minimum.

We like Gwyneth’s shorter take on the dress, but give Myleene the win for letting the gown speak for itself. Who do you think wore it best?

When a celeb wears a dramatic gown on the red carpet at an award show, that gown is forever associated with that star. That’s exactly what happened to Natalie Portman back in January 2012 at the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards. She made quite an impact in a strapless fuchsia Lanvin duchess silk satin creation with pleated bustle train and red accent on the bodice. A red clutch and Jimmy Choo Macy sandals wrapped up her memorable look. So, we were a bit surprised to see Doutzen Kroes in the exact same silk gown last Thursday at the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball in New York City. The Victoria’s Secret model accessorized with diamond jewelry and a matching pair of satin platform pumps.

Natalie’s the clear winner here, not only because she wore it first, but because her elegant styling made the gown even more remarkable. Do you side with the Oscar winner on this one or do you think Doutzen held her own?

Valentino has become synonymous with romantic, feminine pieces and the fashion house’s colorful floral lace appliqué Resort 2013 dress definitely stays true to that established aesthetic. The lace and mesh creation has already been selected by three celebs at three different events. Christina Ricci wore the delicate dress back in September of last year to the ELLE Fashion | Next Runway Show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2013 in New York City. The actress opted for black accessories, including a Chanel bag and leather pumps. Next up was Olivia Munn when she attended the 8th Annual Pink Party benefiting the Cedars-Sinai Women’s Cancer Program in Santa Monica in late October. She added some edge to the sweet dress with a spiked Eddie Borgo bracelet and Valentino Rockstud powder pink slingbacks. Nicky Hilton picked the embroidered piece just last week for the New Yorkers For Children 10th Anniversary Spring Dinner Dance. An embellished clutch and Christian Louboutin Maralena crystal-covered mesh peep-toe pumps polished off the look.

There’s no denying that all three looked lovely in the floral dress, but we admire Olivia’s decision to add in some edgy accessories. Who do you think wore it best?
