Jennifer Meyer may be married to Tobey Maguire, but she has managed to make a name for herself thanks to her personalized jewelry line. The designer’s latest must-have offering, a nameplate statement necklace, has already been spotted on an extensive list of stars. Drew Barrymore wore her necklace while running errands in New York City late last month and also proudly displayed the piece during her appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Jessica Alba recently tweeted about her necklace, which she had engraved with the names of her two daughters. The busy mom even wore her new necklace for a commercial shoot in Santa Monica earlier this week. That same day on the other end of the country, Rihanna was snapped leaving a New York City restaurant with her nameplate prominently displayed. Reese Witherspoon, Alyson Hannigan and Kim Kardashian are all documented fans of the necklace.

We’re also coveting our own nameplate necklace, although its $1,150 to $1,285 asking price has us temporarily placing this luxury item on our wish list instead of around our necks.

There’s no denying that Jessica has evolved into a bit of a fashion maven. She was a front row fixture at the recent Fall 2013 shows over in Paris and consistently earns praise for both her street style as well as her red carpet fashion. Even though Jessica clearly loves experimenting when it comes to style, she always seems to favor graphic pants.

Take the multicolored pair from Fendi she sported to a book signing at Vroman’s Bookstore in Pasadena on Saturday. She rounded out the look with a black top from the fashion house along with colorful Elizabeth and James Stella Loafer pumps. Earlier in the week, the star was making the rounds in New York City decked out in Jenni Kayne’s black and blue floral printed pants. Jenni Kayne was also the source of her pale blue blouse, while her blazer was by Michael Kors. Accessories included a Roger Vivier Prismick Zig Zag shoulder bag and black flats as she opted to carry her white Christian Louboutin pumps. Jessica also embraces printed pants out of the public eye. When she visited an office building in Santa Monica last month, she topped off her Citizens of Humanity Avedon skinny jeans in a fantastic Chinoiserie print with Carrera sunglasses and an olive jacket.

Jessica may have a well-documented affinity for illustrative pants, but at least she knows how to successfully style the often tricky pieces and we almost always love the results.

It was another night of stylish gowns as celebs hit the red carpet for the Golden Globe Awards. There was certainly a lot of color on display and stars embraced embellishments hoping to stand out from the fashionable crowd. Plunging necklines, strapless silhouettes and floral prints all made notable appearances. Here are some highlights from last night.

Nicole-Richie-2013-Golden-Globes.jpgZooey-Deschanel-2013-Golden-Globes.jpgJennifer-lawrence-2013-Golden-Globes.jpg

Nicole Richie simply stunned in this light blue Naeem Khan Spring 2013 embroidered gown accented with a fringed House of Harlow 1960 bag. Zooey Deschanel stuck with her go-to retro vibe by wearing a red Oscar de la Renta strapless gown. The New Girl star finished off the look with Kwiat jewelry. Another actress in red was Jennifer Lawrence who won for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. She styled her strapless Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture gown with a metallic belt and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.

Jennifer-Lopez-2013-Golden-Globes.jpgTaylor-Swift-2013-Golden-Globes-ed.jpgJessica-Chastain-2013-Golden-Globes.jpg

Jennifer Lopez opted for a lacy Zuhair Murad gown combined with Le Vian jewels. It was a dramatic plum-colored Donna Karan Atelier gown with exposed back for Taylor Swift. Jessica Chastain’s seafoam Calvin Klein halter gown was set off by Harry Winston gems.

Jessica-Alba-2013-Golden-Globes.jpgKristen-Bell-2013-Golden-Globes-ed.jpgAnne-Hathaway-2013-Golden-Globes.jpg

Jessica Alba also wore Harry Winston jewelry which perfectly complemented her melon Oscar de la Renta gown. Kristen Bell’s lovely lilac Jenny Packham gown with heavily embellished bodice helped the pregnant actress stand out on the red carpet. Anne Hathaway relied on Chanel for both her Spring 2009 Couture gown and her dazzling jewelry.

We absolutely love Taylor’s Donna Karan and Nicole’s brilliant blue Naeem Khan. Which one is your favorite from the red carpet?

celebs-in-cap-toe-pumps.jpg

Kerry Washington, Jessica Biel and Jessica Alba all look fab rocking the latest shoe trend for fall: cap toe pumps. This classic wardrobe staple with a twist adds instant panache to any look. Jessica B has fun by pairing hers with a print dress for a fashion-forward and flirty look, while Jessica A keeps it sleek and sophisticated with a more subdued pair that plays off her look. We’re not partial to pointy toes or round ones, we love them all the same. This look is a great but safe way to have fun with your work look and still be office appropriate. This trend also works out of the office as well for a funky ensemble for a night out, or to jazz up a basic sheath for a day event (like Kerry does above left).

celebrity-fall-trends-2012.jpg

It’s not fall yet, but we’ve already picked out the fall trends we’re nabbing from our favorite celebs. Here are a few favorites:

Dark Lips: We done matte, we’ve done nude and we’ve even tried red lips. This fall we’re following cues from celebs like Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth and trying out deep plum lips. With such a dramatic pucker we won’t need much else to make a beauty statement.

Prints: Miranda Kerr shows us how to punch up a basic blazer and trouser look with her printed pants. Anchoring solids with unique prints has been popping up all over Hollywood and we can’t wait to get our hands on a great printed trouser or skirt to give our wardrobe some variety.

Peplum: This silhouette has been around for a couple of seasons now and shows no signs of slowing down. We heart Lucy Hale’s pretty purple peplum dress she wore on the red carpet. Peplum looks work so many ways in your wardrobe.

Roomy Satchels: If there’s one thing stylish celebs can’t live without, it’s an “It” bag and lately we’ve seen stars ditching their crossbody bags for larger luxe satchels. Reese Witherspoon’s Fendi satchel above is great size for work or play and super chic.

printed-jeans-trend.jpg

Move over colored denim theres a new trend in town: printed denim. Jessica Alba, in Current/Elliott jeans, Chloe Moretz, in J brand jeans, and Taylor Swift, in AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans all look fab working the trend. Judging from the looks above printed denim is extremely versatile looking equally as good with a graphic t-shirt as it does with a button down blouse.

dark-lips-trend.jpg

As spring rolls around we expect to see lighter softer makeup palettes in the streets and on the red carpet, but instead we’ve seen nothing but dark lips on the red carpet. Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth both sported dark berry lips to the Met Gala, while Jessica Chastain worked some crimson lips on the red carpet for Madagascar Three at the Cannes Film Festival.

The stars’ key to working this trend is to keep the rest of the makeup minimal while focusing on the lips.

Jessica-Alba-7FAM-style.jpg

Jessica Alba seems to have a love affair with colored denim and we know why. Denim is an easy way to be cute but casual and it’s great for busy women. Right now we’re loving these 7 for all Mankind Cropped Skinny Jeans in Neon Pink, Jessica was seen wearing to run errands. They are a bright happy color for spring and keep an otherwise bland look from falling flat.

Jessica-Alba-Rachel-Bilson-Red-Pants.jpgSome celebs are really making a bold statement on the red carpet as of late … they’re wearing red pants. Jessica Alba and Rachel Bilson have both been spotted recently wearing different takes on the trend.

We’re absolutely loving Jessica’s use of color—the turquoise tee and yellow bag really do colorblocking right against her red trousers by Kate Spade. Rachel’s look is a little more understated but equally chic, with black and white separates balanced against a pair of wide-legged red trousers.

Would you wear red pants? We think they’re such a fun way to introduce a little color into your wardrobe in an instant!

The 69th Annual Golden Globes took place last night in Los Angeles, and the red carpet did not disappoint. Overall the looks were chic and glamorous, with some stylish red carpet veterans showing us they still got it.

The Glitterati

Golden-Globes-Glittering -Dresses-1.jpg Golden-Globes-Glittering-Dresses-2.jpg Claire Danes, in J. Mendel, Evan Rachel Wood, in Gucci, Zooey Deschanel, in Prada and Lea Michele in Marchesa gleamed and glittered on the red carpet in shimmering gowns with intricate sparkling details; including peek-a-boo sleeves and sexy cutout backs.

Simply Chic

Golden-Globes-Simple-Dresses.jpgAs much as we  loved all the sparkles of the lovely ladies above, we were equally enamored with the simplicity of the Heidi Klum, in Calvin Klein (he does simple dresses so well. Who could forget Emma at last year’s awards), Kate Winslet, in Jenny Packham and Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen. With natural makeup, simple hair and minimal accessories these looks screamed ‘less is more.’

A Little Shimmer
Golden-Globes-shimmer-dresses.jpg
Nicole Richie, in Julien MacDonald, Jessica Alba, in Gucci, and Kate Beckinsale in Roberto Cavalli looked sleek in shimmery gowns that shine in a subtle sophisticated way. We are so used to Nicole’s haute hippie looks (which we love) that we were taken aback by her departure from this  style in her figure flattering gown that was pure Hollywood glamor.

Dark Magic

Golden-Globes-Dark-dresses.jpgEmma Stone, in Lanvin, Rooney Mara, in Nina Ricci and Mila Kunis in Christian Dior all looked lovely in dark gowns with  beautiful bodices that were elegant with an edge.

Trained in Style

Golden-Globes-Dresses-with-trains.jpgGolden-Globes-Sofia-Vergara.jpgTrains always look so grand on red carpet dresses, and the ones above were no exception. Charlize Theron above left in Dior and Sofia Vergara directly above in Vera Wang went big with long sweeping trains while Julianne Moore’s Chanel gown had a small train that gave her gown a little more flair.

Hands down Charlize is wearing our favorite gown. We love her fashion-forward dress and the ’20s style hair and makeup that accompanied her look.  We want to know: who was your favorite?

jessica-alba-jennifer-hudson-winter-white.jpg
Jessica Alba, in Carolina Herrera, and Jennifer Hudson rocked Monday night’s Let it Sparkle Swarovski Elements and Rodeo Drive Lighting Ceremony in stylish winter white looks. Studded in crystals or paired with darker shades, winter white is very chic for the season. What do you think of winter white: love it or hate it?
Jessica-Alba-Michael-Lauren-Sweater.jpgWe love Michael Lauren, the offshoot to cool girl brand Lauren Moshi. And apparently, so does Jessica Alba! She stepped out in LA this weekend sporting the Michael Lauren Milo sweater ($96 at revolveclothing.com), even going to the park with her daughter in the cozy, oversized silhouette.

Jessica teamed her sweater with round sunnies, a long skinny tank and super skinny black jeans. Her look is so L.A. here, and we’re totally loving it!

2011-Alma-Awards.jpg

The great red carpet looks keep on coming. This time the red carpet eye candy was provided by Eva Longoria, in Oscar de la Renta, Jessica Alba, in Michael Kors, and Demi Lovato, in Maria Lucia Hohan at the 2011 Alma Awards. Eva, who co-hosted the event, had many style surprises in store for us as she changed from her arrival gown above into three more glam gowns throughout the night. We love all the twisted bodice details we saw on the red carpet, and the beauty trend of smoky eyes and nude lips.

2011-BAFTAs.jpg

The British Academy Film Awards ( BAFTAs) blessed us with more red carpet candy, hot on the heels of the Grammy Awards. Unlike the free spirited and sexy looks of the Grammys, the BAFTAs were all about pure glamour. Jessica Alba, in Atelier Versace, Emma Stone, in Lanvin, Amy Adams, in Elie Saab, and Thandie Newton in Monique Lhuillier stepped out in elegant gowns. We really love the grand sweeping train and beautiful print on Thandie’s dress, and the pretty cobalt color of Jessica’s gown.

Hollywood-loves-gucci.jpg

Diane Kruger, Olivia Wilde, and Jessica Alba show off their sexy side in Gucci with cocktails and a private dinner at Rue Royale in Paris to celebrate Gucci Creative Director, Frida Giannini, and to celebrate the makeover of the Paris Gucci store.

Known for its super slick and sexy style, Gucci is often seen on Hollywood’s hottest stars. We always love Gucci’s dresses, but we were especially taken with Olivia’s jumpsuit. We find it both fashion forward, and a great blend of the masculine and feminine qualities Gucci is known for.

2010-AMA-Awards.jpg
We decided to skip reporting the good, bad, and ugly dresses from last night’s American Music Awards, and just report on the good dresses. The trend for last night’s ensembles seemed to be short, tight, and embellished. We loved presenter Jessica Alba, in Cushnie et Ochs, Katy Perry, in Badgley Mischka Couture, Miley Cyrus, in Marchesa, and Taylor Swift, in Collette Dinnigan.

jessicaalbaredcarpet.jpg

Jessica Alba has been on fire on the red carpet lately. Her style strategy, consisting of visually stunning dresses that show off her gams and strappy heels, is definitely working for her. Above left she attends the Venice International Film Festival premiere of Machete in a Valentino Haute Couture gown with an asymmetrical skirt, and Ferragamo lace-up sandals. Right, she attends the L.A. premiere of Machete in a sequined Balmain dress and cutout Christian Louboutin shoes.

While neither silhouette above is remarkable, the details that make them special. Details like an intricate bodice, textured skirt, and chevron print sequins, that make her stand out on the red carpet.

2010chanelhautecouture.jpg

Blake Lively, Jessica Alba, and new Gossip Girl star Clemence Posey all look lovely at the Chanel haute couture show in Paris in fabulous frocks from the label. The looks above showcase different sides of Chanel: Blake  and Jessica show the label’s romantic side, while Clemence shows the label’s traditionally tailored ladylike style.

Jessica Alba is pretty in print as she attends the Dior Haute Couture show. After seeing her repeatedly in jeans and Doc Marten’s toting around daughter Honor, this touch of glamor is a welcomed treat.

Just when you thought there was no way sweatpants could look fashionable, along comes Jessica Alba in her Genetic Denim sweatpants. Seen above wearing “The Val” sweatpants ($176 at singer22.com) in Au Natural, Jessica Alba looks super stylish. We love the way that these look like relaxed boyfriend jeans, yet have all the comfort of traditional sweats.
