Some of country music’s biggest stars hit the red carpet in Las Vegas for the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Metallics, lace and bright colors proved popular, while necklines ranged from halter to strapless. Here are a few of the more memorable looks from last night’s show.



Taylor Swift once again impressed at the annual awards decked out in this sparkling Dolce & Gabbana gown. She polished off her look with Norman Silverman earrings, a ring by Le Vian and Jimmy Choo sandals. Carrie Underwood stood out in this floral Naeem Khan. Her vivid strapless Resort 2013 gown was accented by a black waistband and colorful statement earrings. The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco went with a black BCBG Max Azria halter gown with strategic sheer panels. A pair of Cresta Bledsoe earrings and a black clutch finished off her look.



Faith Hill also opted for black in a lacy Chado Ralph Rucci dress. She accessorized with jewelry from Marina B and Irene Neuwirth along with Christian Dior pumps. It was an embellished peach-colored Georges Chakra Spring 2012 Couture strapless creation for Jewel at the ceremony. Kimberly McDonald jewels and Brian Atwood heels wrapped up her look. Jana Kramer made quite a statement in this golden Badgley Mischka Fall 2013 gown. The singer/actress completed her look with Norman Silverman earrings.

We’re fans of Taylor’s sleek embellished Dolce & Gabbana and Carrie’s fresh Naeem Khan. Who was your favorite on the red carpet at last night’s awards?

The Grammy Awards celebrated its 55th anniversary this year and the stars were out in full force to help honor the nominees. Cut-out accents, sheer details, the color black and Roberto Cavalli gowns were all popular red carpet choices last night. Glamour prevailed over shock value and several celebs upped the style ante with striking statement jewelry. Here are some of the standout fashions from music’s biggest night.



Carrie Underwood turned heads on the red carpet in this ornate black lace embroidered gown by Roberto Cavalli styled with a diamond statement necklace. Taylor Swift’s white pleated J. Mendel Spring 2013 gown included striking embellished accents. She accessorized with an Ofira ring, Lorraine Schwartz earrings and Jimmy Choo Lance sandals. It was a fiery custom Azzedine Alaïa gown for Rihanna. Neil Lane jewels and Manolo Blahnik heels finished off the look.



Beyoncé skipped a formal gown and went with a Osman black crepe jumpsuit with exaggerated shoulders. Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and a Swarovski clutch polished off the look. Natasha Bedingfield’s embellished Emerson Spring 2013 red gown was accented by a gold belt. Marina B gems rounded out the look. Adele stood out in a red and black embroidered Valentino Spring 2013 Couture dress, which was shortened from the runway.



Gucci was behind the green Resort 2013 gown with embellished collar and revealing front keyhole accent Katy Perry wore to the annual awards. Faith Hill shined in this embellished little black dress from J. Mendel’s Pre-Fall 2013 offering. Lorraine Schwartz jewels, a Bottega Veneta clutch and Tom Ford pumps all served as accessories. Nicole Kidman looked lovely in a gold embroidered Vera Wang gown. Fred Leighton gems, a Roger Vivier clutch and L’Wren Scott shoes completed her look.

Rihanna, Carrie Underwood and Adele really impressed us on the red carpet. Which star do you think should be crowned best dressed at this year’s Grammys?

It was another night of stylish gowns as celebs hit the red carpet for the Golden Globe Awards. There was certainly a lot of color on display and stars embraced embellishments hoping to stand out from the fashionable crowd. Plunging necklines, strapless silhouettes and floral prints all made notable appearances. Here are some highlights from last night.



Nicole Richie simply stunned in this light blue Naeem Khan Spring 2013 embroidered gown accented with a fringed House of Harlow 1960 bag. Zooey Deschanel stuck with her go-to retro vibe by wearing a red Oscar de la Renta strapless gown. The New Girl star finished off the look with Kwiat jewelry. Another actress in red was Jennifer Lawrence who won for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. She styled her strapless Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture gown with a metallic belt and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.



Jennifer Lopez opted for a lacy Zuhair Murad gown combined with Le Vian jewels. It was a dramatic plum-colored Donna Karan Atelier gown with exposed back for Taylor Swift. Jessica Chastain’s seafoam Calvin Klein halter gown was set off by Harry Winston gems.



Jessica Alba also wore Harry Winston jewelry which perfectly complemented her melon Oscar de la Renta gown. Kristen Bell’s lovely lilac Jenny Packham gown with heavily embellished bodice helped the pregnant actress stand out on the red carpet. Anne Hathaway relied on Chanel for both her Spring 2009 Couture gown and her dazzling jewelry.

Awards season officially got underway Wednesday night with this year’s edition of the People’s Choice Awards. Celebs favored everything from neon colors to embellishments and statement jewelry at the annual event. Here’s an overview of what some of the night’s more fashionable stars were wearing.



Clearly not letting her most recent breakup get to her, Taylor Swift stunned in this white Ralph Lauren gown with daring neckline paired with Sutra turquoise earrings. Naomi Watts looked radiant in an Alexander McQueen Resort 2013 embellished halter gown accented by Jennifer Meyer jewelry and Jimmy Choo Kalpa platform sandals. Glee’s Lea Michele opted for a bright pink Elie Saab embellished lace short sleeve dress along with matching sandals.



Julianne Hough sparkled in an embellished Tony Ward Couture dress and metallic Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Chloë Grace Moretz’s playful yellow Simone Rocha Spring 2013 dress was set off by a pair of black Casadei Blade pumps. It was a flowing blue Oliver Tolentino gown for Rachael Leigh Cook on the red carpet. A silver statement necklace polished off the look.

Taylor rang in the new year with a performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve along with a midnight kiss from boyfriend, Harry Styles. The singer wore a surprisingly edgy look to perform in the chilly New York City weather. Her asymmetric Longina red sequin jacket by IRO featured exposed zippers and leather trim. Taylor added in a pair of leather Saint Laurent pants and black Jimmy Choo Bili boots. We really like the usually glamorous star’s tough take for New Year’s Eve.

Are you a fan of Taylor’s latest look?

Taylor sparkled onstage at KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball 2012 in Los Angeles in a red Rachel Gilbert embellished top, but it was her black and ivory Carolyn sleeveless dress from Kate Spade New York that really caught our eye. This striped fit and flare creation featured both a boatneck and a flirty V-back. It’s a perfect pick for all those impending holiday parties and even comes in an equally festive orange and pink version. Taylor completed her look with rather low-key black Christian Louboutin pumps. As an alternative, a pair of metallic sandals would add a nice polished punch to this versatile dress. 

Recently, we told you about the trend of pink dresses with matching lips. Well, now we’re here to tell you about another trend: red dresses with matching lips! We love the boldness of these two looks, but the fact that they somehow still seem girly and cute.

Demi Lovato went for a subtly edgier take on the trend in a red minidress, which she teamed with a studded black leather jacket and peep-toe pumps. We’re loving her high bun, too.
Taylor Swift embraced her flirtier side in a flared knee-length dress, nude pumps and flowy waves.

Taylor Swift, Jana Kramer, in Anthony Kramer couture, and actress Lucy Hale, in Moschino worked Thursday night’s red carpet for the 2012 CMA’s  in all their glittery glory. Unlike, the Grammys or the MTV Video Music Awards where avant garde and slinky sexy looks rule the red carpet, the CMA’s are known for their dolled up ultra glam looks. We really love the appliques on Taylor’s dress and the way the nipped in draping at the center of her dress shows off her shape.

Katy Perry, in Elie Saab, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, in Emilio Pucci and Taylor Swift in a J. Mendel suit and Tom Ford heels surprised us last night on the red carpet for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in really elegant looks. We’re so used to trendy and gimmicky getups that we had to rub our eyes to make sure we really watching the VMAs. In sharp contrast Katy and Miley (sporting her new radical ‘do) went dark in chic evening gowns with intricate detailing, while Rihanna and Taylor kept in bright in crisp white looks that showed off their curves.

What did you think of last night’s looks at the VMAs? Do you think all the polished and elegant looks is a new trend we’ll see in VMAs to come, or just a passing trend that is as fleeting as an artist keeping their spot in an MTV video countdown.

Move over colored denim theres a new trend in town: printed denim. Jessica Alba, in Current/Elliott jeans, Chloe Moretz, in J brand jeans, and Taylor Swift, in AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans all look fab working the trend. Judging from the looks above printed denim is extremely versatile looking equally as good with a graphic t-shirt as it does with a button down blouse.

Even with the music industry losing one of the greatest voices of all time with the passing of Whitney Houston, the 54th annual Grammy Awards had to go on. The red carpet seemed smaller this year with more sophisticated dresses than in years gone by. Here are our favorites:

Sparkle Plenty

Adele, in Giorgio Armani, Carrie Underwood, in Gomez-Gracia and Kelly Rowland in Alberta Ferretti all sparkled in elegantly beaded dresses that flattered their shape and showed off their sex appeal in a demure and alluring way. We love the way Carrie’s dress, with the backless detail, and Kelly’s dress with the draping and the lower back surprised us.

Taylor Swift, in Zuhair Murad, looked like solid gold in her gilded emrboidered gown. She said this was of of her favorite red carpet gowns to wear and next to her gown she wore to the 2010 Grammys we agree.

Sleek LBDs

Gwyneth Paltrow and Rihanna, in a dress designed together with Giorgio Armani sizzled on the red carpet in curve hugging LBDs.

This year’s Billboard Music Awards brought out the sexier side of some of today’s hottest stars.
