Anne-Hathaway-New-York-Premiere-Les-Miserables.jpgWhen Anne hit the red carpet Monday night for the New York premiere of Les Misérables, all eyes were on her glamorous Tom Ford Spring 2013 jet black taffeta caped masterpiece. Then she stuck out her leg to reveal the designer’s intense over-the-knee sandal boots. We’re not really sure how to feel about such graphic custom-made vegan footwear, especially when paired with an already extraordinary gown. Anne’s hair, makeup, and Fred Leighton jewels are all flawless, but we can’t seem to get past her boots, which could have been initially mistaken for fashion-forward leg braces. Perhaps we would appreciate Tom Ford’s unique creations a bit more paired with a different outfit. Anne has been taking quite a few risks lately and we certainly commend her for it, but still feel she might have missed the mark on this one.

So, what do you think of Anne’s unconventional footwear choice?

Katy-Perry-Billboard-Women-In-Music-2012-Luncheon-New-York-City.jpgKaty has certainly been experimenting with a new, more fashion-forward look of late. She’s toned down her formerly flashy red carpet attire, opting for glamorous pieces from top designers. After seeing her in this slightly ruffle-centric persimmon Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 dress at the Billboard luncheon, though, we can’t help wondering if she’s taken the makeover a bit too far. Between her overdone updo, the flashy belt, and those Oscar de la Renta embellished peep-toe pumps, it’s all a little over-the-top. Katy needs to work on finding a better balance between being prim and proper and her pop star roots.

Now we’ve had our say, so do you love or hate Katy’s dolled-up look?

Jessica-Biel-NYC-Hitchcock-Premiere.jpgJessica definitely still has that newlywed glow, but the glitzy ensemble she wore to the New York City premiere of her latest film also had her shining bright. She stepped out to promote Hitchcock in a tunic and pant set from Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2013 collection. At first we were a bit lukewarm about this almost pajama-like outfit and thought the pieces would work better as separate showstoppers, but the more we took in the intricate details of the flashy look, the more we started to appreciate it. The styling really helped define the look in the form of dramatic Lorraine Schwartz gems, Manolo Blahnik crystal sandals, sleek braid, and a textured caviar manicure.

As you can probably tell, we’re a bit torn over this one. So, it’s up to you. Do you love or hate Jessica’s fancy Oscar de la Renta pairing?

Kristen-Stewart-AFI-FEST-2012-On-The-Road-Premiere.jpg
Kristen has never really been shy when it comes to showing some skin, especially with her well-documented penchant for mini dresses. This belly-baring crisscross white and black Balenciaga Spring 2013 jumpsuit is a bit bold even for the Twilight star, though. While we love the dynamic menswear vibe the piece is putting out and the addition of those sleek black Christian Louboutin pumps, the look seems too edgy for a premiere. At least Kristen also kept her makeup edgy and her slightly messy ponytail actually works well in this red carpet scenario.

Now it’s your turn to sound off. Do you love or hate Kristen’s revealing menswear-inspired look?

christina-aguilera-ama-nominations.jpg
Christina Aguilera announced the nominations for the 2012 American Music Awards yesterday in an Alexander Wang dress and multi-hued matching tresses.  We love that musicans and rockstars have fun with their hair and keep us guessing by experimenting like Christina. However, that being said, when they are not performing or on the red carpet the look can be a bit much. What do you think of Christina’s hair: love it, or hate it?
