Britney Spears, above at last Sunday’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, has totally redeemed herself from the last time we looked at her red carpet style. Not only is she rocking her Moschino dress in all its glittering glory (as well as shooties by Gina), but her hair and makeup were absolutely lovely as well. As if she wasn’t already having a moment she won Best Pop Video and took home the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award.

We’ve seen head-to-toe leopard looks that work, but far too many that don’t work. Kerry Washington, seen above at Jennifer Klein’s annual Day of Indulgence, definitely knows how to make the print work for her by pairing her leopard print blouse from Ann Taylor with ruby red Express Jeans. We love the way the bright color plays off the print and keeps the look from being boring and predictable (we’re also loving her choice of chic and affordable pieces).
Katie Holmes makes a white t-shirt and jeans look anything but basic at her appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show yesterday night by pairing a loosely tucked white t-shirt from GAP with pocket detailing and inky blue fitted Hudson skinny jeans with chic nude pumps. She kept the look from being too plain by accessorizing the look with a simple initial charm necklace (an “S” for daughter Suri) and two fun beaded bracelets.
