Keira Knightley, the new face of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume, wowed the crowd at a movie premiere at the 32nd Annual Toronto International Film Festival last week. We LOVE this look, it actually reminds us a lot of Natalie Portman’s red carpet style. The dress is stunning. The top of it has an edgy quality that contrasts with the rest of it and keeps the frills from looking frumpy. Her loose curls complement the dress and the shoes are simple and sophisticated without looking old-fashioned.

Way to go Keira! The stars seem to be wearing eggplant/aubergine a lot lately, no?

Also, check out the girl behind Keira on the right in the pumpkin-colored jumper. Cute as well, right?! We especially like the autumnal hue paired with the black tights, mary jane wedges and thick bangs. Tres chic.

Whitney Port, Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge were dressed to the nines for the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards last Sunday night at The Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lauren wore her own design and it’s very nice in a geometric/mod/1930s flapper kind of way. Audrina played it very safe in a sexy black number. But we really admire Whitney’s risk-taking. The multi-colored metallic leopard print dress with an asymmetrical hem was completely appropriate for the event. Essentially, it is exactly what the VMAs are: wild, unpredictable and fun. One little critique…we would have liked to seen either Lauren or Audrina’s shoes on Whitney instead.

Charlize Theron was spotted wearing a Grace Sun beaded dress during the Venice Film Festival this year. The dress is from the Fall 2007 collection and is available in black ($392) at tobi.com.

We think the Lock Me Up Belt ($159), seen here on top of a Grace Sun Wrap in navy ($291) is the perfect blend between sweet and edgy.

Fergie formally introduced her Fergie for Kipling handbag line at Macy’s in New York City on September 5th. We think Fergie’s outfit is okay, but have a few suggestions to improve upon it. First, the bows on her dress are too frilly for fall’s more geometric and edgier silhouettes. The black taffeta dress below has crisper lines while still maintaining a voluminous shape.

Also, the contrast of Fergie’s round-toe heels is great, but the black and white is too much like last year’s Chanel platform pumps. These black and gold pumps are more appropriate for the upcoming season’s metallic trends.

The fashionable The Hills starlet is coming out with her own line of clothing. Pieces are said to be flowy and feminine and will be available to purchase online in the fall. There’s even buzz of handbags (think Anthropologie-esque pricing).
