Taylor Momsen proves that winter layering does not have to be dowdy. Taylor looks pristine and warm in a sweater, coat, pleated skirt, opaque tights, and stylish sky-high blue booties. We love that she kept the look interesting by choosing her gray Loeffler Randall short sleeved coat to layer over her sweater, and a plaid scarf to break up her monotone look.

These were the lovely ladies who showed up on our fashion radar over and over again this year with consistently stylish looks.

Kate Hudson - This year we saw Kate out and about in New York with her baseball player boyfriend A-Rod, shopping in Los Angeles, and at red carpet premieres where she always looked great. Known for showing off her toned legs, this style star regularly works mini dresses and skinny jeans like no other.

Halle Berry - Halle has been in the fashion game for a while and shows no signs of slowing down. Even as a new mother she is consistently fabulous in skinny jeans, oversized sunglasses, and cool leather jackets. Alternatively, she works skintight party dresses for Hollywood events with similar panache.

Blake Lively - The Gossip Girl star is a regular fixture on the red carpet and Hollywood events in the latest trends and fashion-forward outfits. Whether she’s wearing Michael Kors or Marchesa we can’t get enough.

Taylor Swift - Though just a teen, Taylor has been a media fashion darling this year. Making the rounds at TV shows, walking the red carpet, or out on the town we love to see Taylor’s looks. She has definitely mastered grown up glamor and we can’t wait to see her in the coming year.

Isla Fisher in J. Mendel - Wearing winter white and a bib necklace, one of 2009’s biggest accessory trends, Isla stole our hearts in this flattering sheath.

Kerry Washington in Narciso Rodriquez- Kerry looked absolutely chic wearing a graphic printed sheath, and lurex Narciso Rodriquez jacket. She shows the perfect way to turn an ordinary dress up a notch.

Kate Hudson in Stella McCartney - For decades the jumpsuit has been fashion-forward and glamorous, and Kate’s Stella McCartney look shows this is still true today.

Natalie Portman in Jason Wu- Natalie looked stunning and on trend in her cobalt Jason Wu cocktail dress for The Cinema Society screening of Brothers. Color was big  this year and she managed to make this look fresh and stylish amid the sea of other colored dresses.

Every year there is a new group of fashionable Hollywood starlets the media falls in love with. This year these were the ladies that were the newest fashion “it” girls:

Megan Fox- Although not new to the scene this year, Megan definitely stole the fashion spotlight with her bombshell good looks and red carpet looks for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Jennifer’s Body.

Freida Pinto - The Slumdog Millionaire star has been all over the red carpet and Hollywood showing off her stellar sense of style. We’ve been watching her for a while and have marveled at how she always manages to be both fashion-forward and classic.

Ashley Greene - The Twilight Star has really come into her own this year. From jaunts out in Hollywood to red carpet premieres she always has fun with fashion.

Matte Lips - Glossy lips took a backseat to matte lips this year. Stars like Charlize Theron tried on this subtle hue for the red carpet.

Novelty Nails - Nail polish color got a kick this year with hues like jade and gray. Stars like Drew Barrymore and Rachel Bilson were among some of the stars who loved this look. We especially love Chanel’s Le Vernis Nail Color in Jade, which helped launch the trend.
