2011 was a year filled with great celebrity trends that actually translated to real life. Above we’ve hand picked our fave trends of the year.

’70s Trend- This year wide leg high-waisted jeans, platforms and silky tops graced the runway and Hollywood. We love the feel good vibe of the clothes and the sexy curve hugging silhouettes.

Color-Blocking - We saw a lot of color blocking on and off the red carpet.Color was having a moment and this was the best way to wear it.

Colored Denim - Not since the ’80s and ’90s have people had this much fun with colored denim. This was one way celebs jazzed up their basics when off duty.

Britney Spears’ boyfriend Jason Trawick finally popped the question on Thursday and officially took Britney off the market. Britney, in Herve Leger, and Jason basked in their love above at Planet Hollywood where they celebrated Jason’s 40th birthday and their engagement.

Congrats to the happy couple. This has been a great year for Britney- we can’t wait to see 2012 has in store for the electrifying pop star.
