Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen designed a dress that was fit for a queen-to-be; Kate (now Catherine) Middleton wore an elegant, yet simple, dress to wed Prince William this morning at Westminster Abbey. The dress was made of ivory and white satin gazar fabric and hand-cut Chantilly lace and English lace, with a 9 foot train.

Her diamond earrings made by Robinson Pelham were a gift from her parents and designed to look like the Middleton family’s new coat of arms which includes acorns and oak leaves. Catherine’s veil was held in place by a Cartier “halo” tiara which was lent by the Queen. Made in 1936, it has passed through the royal family and was given to Queen Elizabeth II on her 18th birthday by her mother, Queen Elizabeth I.

Abbie Cornish, in Amanda Wakeley, Emily Browning, in Erdem, Jenna Malone, in Jean Carlos Obando, and Vanessa Hudgens, in Jenny Packham, wowed us on the red carpet for the premiere of their new movie Sucker Punch. We expected edgy looks from the young stars but instead got a dose of serious glamour. We’re really digging the cobalt blue Abbie chose.
