It was another night of stylish gowns as celebs hit the red carpet for the Golden Globe Awards. There was certainly a lot of color on display and stars embraced embellishments hoping to stand out from the fashionable crowd. Plunging necklines, strapless silhouettes and floral prints all made notable appearances. Here are some highlights from last night.

Nicole Richie simply stunned in this light blue Naeem Khan Spring 2013 embroidered gown accented with a fringed House of Harlow 1960 bag. Zooey Deschanel stuck with her go-to retro vibe by wearing a red Oscar de la Renta strapless gown. The New Girl star finished off the look with Kwiat jewelry. Another actress in red was Jennifer Lawrence who won for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook. She styled her strapless Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture gown with a metallic belt and a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.

Jennifer Lopez opted for a lacy Zuhair Murad gown combined with Le Vian jewels. It was a dramatic plum-colored Donna Karan Atelier gown with exposed back for Taylor Swift. Jessica Chastain’s seafoam Calvin Klein halter gown was set off by Harry Winston gems.

Jessica Alba also wore Harry Winston jewelry which perfectly complemented her melon Oscar de la Renta gown. Kristen Bell’s lovely lilac Jenny Packham gown with heavily embellished bodice helped the pregnant actress stand out on the red carpet. Anne Hathaway relied on Chanel for both her Spring 2009 Couture gown and her dazzling jewelry.

We absolutely love Taylor’s Donna Karan and Nicole’s brilliant blue Naeem Khan. Which one is your favorite from the red carpet?

Awards season officially got underway Wednesday night with this year’s edition of the People’s Choice Awards. Celebs favored everything from neon colors to embellishments and statement jewelry at the annual event. Here’s an overview of what some of the night’s more fashionable stars were wearing.

Taylor-Swift-Peoples-Choice-Awards-2013-Los-Angeles.jpgNaomi-Watts-Peoples-Choice-Awards-2013-Los-Angeles.jpgLea-Michele-Peoples-Choice-Awards-2013-Los-Angeles.jpg

Clearly not letting her most recent breakup get to her, Taylor Swift stunned in this white Ralph Lauren gown with daring neckline paired with Sutra turquoise earrings. Naomi Watts looked radiant in an Alexander McQueen Resort 2013 embellished halter gown accented by Jennifer Meyer jewelry and Jimmy Choo Kalpa platform sandals. Glee’s Lea Michele opted for a bright pink Elie Saab embellished lace short sleeve dress along with matching sandals.

Julianne-Hough-Peoples-Choice-Awards-2013-Los-Angeles.jpgChloe-Grace-Moretz-Peoples-Choice-Awards-2013-Los-Angeles.jpgRachael-Leigh-Cook-Peoples-Choice-Awards-2013-Los-Angeles.jpg

Julianne Hough sparkled in an embellished Tony Ward Couture dress and metallic Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Chloë Grace Moretz’s playful yellow Simone Rocha Spring 2013 dress was set off by a pair of black Casadei Blade pumps. It was a flowing blue Oliver Tolentino gown for Rachael Leigh Cook on the red carpet. A silver statement necklace polished off the look.

We really love Taylor’s sleek Ralph Lauren creation and Naomi’s bold Alexander McQueen gown. Which celeb would you crown best dressed?

Rosamund-Pike-Jack-Reacher-London-Premiere.jpgRosamund-Pike-Jack-Reacher-Stockholm-Premiere.jpgRosamund-Pike-Jack-Reacher-Madrid-Premiere.jpg

Rosamund may not be the most recognizable actress out there, but with a new movie alongside Tom Cruise, she’s sure to get a lot more attention. Her amazing week-long promotional circuit for Jack Reacher was full of stellar dresses, which helped her stand out on the red carpet. She started last week in London wearing a bright yellow Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 gown with a revealing exposed back. Just a day later in Stockholm, Rosamund also impressed in a citrus-colored ruched Elie Saab Resort 2013 gown. A pair of Celine gold cuffs and Nicholas Kirkwood heels polished off the look. The British actress then headed to Madrid where she was decked out in a golden beaded Emilio Pucci. She didn’t let the ornate nature of the long sleeve dress overpower her accessories, though, opting for gold Bulgari jewels and embellished Christian Louboutin pumps.

We adore all three of Rosamund’s looks, but if we had to pick just one, it would probably be the Alexander McQueen. Which one is your favorite?

Amanda-Seyfried-Anne-Hathaway-Samantha-Barks-World-Premiere-of-Les-Miserables-London.jpgLes Misérables had its London premiere on Wednesday and the film’s three leading ladies each opted for very different looks on the red carpet. Amanda Seyfried certainly stood out in this black and white flamenco-inspired Balenciaga Spring 2013 ensemble. The actress combined her peplum-accented top and ruffled skirt with basic black pumps. The striking white satin Givenchy Spring 2012 Couture beaded gown Anne Hathaway wore featured dynamic cold-shoulders and an open back. Relative newcomer, Samantha Barks, went with this embellished long sleeve Stella McCartney. She styled her custom dark blue gown with a pair of Adler earrings and Jimmy Choo shoes.

We find ourselves most drawn to Anne’s out-of-the-box Givenchy creation. Which London look is your favorite?

Jurnee-Smollett-Harem-Pants.jpgNot everyone can pull off a drop-crotch harem pant. Really, it’s a select few who can. But we’re digging Jurnee Smollett’s look at The Hollywood Foreign Press and InStyle Miss Golden Globe party last week. She teamed her green silk slouchy pants with a floral-embellished cami and satin pumps—lots of plays on silk texture, to be sure, but we think it works.

What say you? Do you like this look?
