Glamour was out in full force on Monday night for the 2012 Gotham Independent Film Awards. Celebs embraced everything from embroidery to cut-out accents and even slick menswear-inspired ensembles. Emily Blunt made a real statement in this white Calvin Klein Resort 2013 cut-out strapless dress, which was originally presented on the runway with a sheer overlay. The actress sported new lighter locks and an impressive Lorraine Schwartz statement necklace along with a Christian Louboutin clutch and Jimmy Choo Vamp sandals. Her best accessory, though, was her husband John Krasinski, also outfitted in Calvin Klein. French actress Marion Cotillard was back in Christian Dior for the annual event. Her Fall 2012 Couture navy dress included lapels as well as a textured skirt and was styled with a pair of the fashion house’s navy pumps and a Chopard necklace. One of Hollywood latest fashion “it” girls, Allison Williams, opted for this dramatic tulle Valentino Spring 2012 long sleeve gown with contrasting lace accents. Black sandals and striking silver jewels served as accessories.

There were a lot of unique looks on the red carpet, but we really like Allison’s risky yet romantic Valentino.

The stars came out Wednesday night for this year’s edition of the BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards. The event is put on by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, so it wasn’t surprising that several celebs opted for British designers. Olivia Munn sparkled in this golden Temperley London Pre-Fall 2012 dress with contrasting white hem and Asprey jewelry. Kerry Washington also wore a gown from Temperley London’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection. Her bright fuchsia creation with triple bow accent brought a nice pop of color to the red carpet. Bérénice Marlohe selected a gown by American-based designer, Oscar de la Renta. Like Olivia, the French actress stood out in gold and paired her embellished collared gown with statement jewelry in the form of Amrapali earrings and a Le Vian ring.

We’re impressed with all three red carpet looks, but if you had to pick just one, which would be your favorite?

2012-cma-red-carpet.jpg
Taylor Swift, Jana Kramer, in Anthony Kramer couture, and actress Lucy Hale, in Moschino worked Thursday night’s red carpet for the 2012 CMA’s  in all their glittery glory. Unlike, the Grammys or the MTV Video Music Awards where avant garde and slinky sexy looks rule the red carpet, the CMA’s are known for their dolled up ultra glam looks. We really love the appliques on Taylor’s dress and the way the nipped in draping at the center of her dress shows off her shape.

amber-heard-1.jpgAmber Heard, in head-to-toe Gucci Kerry Washington, in Gucci and Salma Hayek in a one shoulder gown and Harry Winston baubles worked the purple carpet at the 2012 LACMA Gala in style with artistic flourishes. Being that this event celebrates the art world, the ladies took special liberty to pick pieces with points of interest and intricate detailing. We love that each look is so powerful on its own that accessories are not necessary.

Brittany-Snow-Anna-Kendrick-Pitch-Perfect.jpg
Pitch Perfect premiered this week, and we have to say—we’re digging the fact that a lot of the celebs showed up on the red carpet in girly frocks! What better way to celebrate girl power and support a chick flick, right?

Brittany Snow in Georges Hobeika and Anna Kendrick in Zuhair Murad both killed it on the carpet. We’re loving Brittany’s ice blue dress—all of the detailing could make it look busy, but it really speaks to us, especially with those metallic silver pumps. And Anna’s nude dress is equal parts glam and girly with metallic swirls and a pretty waist bow. She really kicked it up a notch with sky-high strappy heels.

Both of these looks are actually making us want to see the movie now!
