Michelle Obama’s style continues to baffle us here at StyleBakery. Take this outfit for example. It shouldn’t work (these colors DO NOT go together), but the First Lady carries it off in style. So I guess the lesson learned is stick to solid colors in the same family and just go for it.
For our version, since our dress had more teal tones, we chose to go with a puce chartreuse cardigan. Don’t ask us why. Michelle made us do it.
We used to think wearing butterflies was only for eight-year-olds, but Freida Pinto is changing our mind. But then again, what doesn’t look fabulous on Freida Pinto? We took a closer look at the butterfly trend and were pleasantly surprised to find these chic options that don’t remind us of something we’d see on a Lisa Frank trapperkeeper.
However, we do have to give Mischa snaps for being an early adopter of what we consider to be the next big trend in the making: bib necklaces. Look for these more and more in the fall and into the holiday season.
Molly Sims looks so great here. We’re loving this new take on classic black and white. By wearing a white blouse under her white boyfriend blazer, Molly creates the perfect background for a collection of layered necklaces.
We’re obsessed with Katherine Heigl’s look here. It’s simple, sophisticated and great for summer. We found similar items, all from J.Crew.
