stealelisabeth.jpgUnlike with Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s political views, we’re pretty sure everyone can agree on this: she has pretty good fashion sense. After all, she did once design for Puma and also hosted the Style Network’s The Look for Less. Elisabeth is right on trend with this dress in a linked chain print. We like it a lot and you can get the same look with a mini skirt featuring a very similar chain link print.

Here’s a photo of Ellen Pompeo on her way to tape The Late Show with David Letterman. We’re crazy about her J. Mendel ensemble.

The Grey’s Anatomy star has been described as a style maker, but has faltered recently on the red carpet. Ellen is definitely back on track with this look. It’s timeless and very, very chic.

P.S., We recommend wearing a basic white cami with that blouse, unless you’re REALLY trying to steal Ellen’s style.

This time of year can be a tricky for fashionistas living in parts of the world with very pronounced seasons. It’s the transitional point between winter and spring when it looks pleasant outside, but once you leave home you realize how absolutely freezing it still is. With so many spring and summer looks already flooding the market, it’s hard to reach for that solemn black wool coat when you’re excited about wearing the new season’s bright colors. So borrow a page from Carla Bruni-Sarkozy’s fashion playbook and invest in a bracelet sleeve coat in a feminine floral color.

The former model was with her husband, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, on a trip to visit with Britain’s Prime Minister when she donned this vibrant purple coat (which still looks a bit too warm for our needs). We love this carnation-colored coat by Tahari as it provides just the right amount of protection from the elements without looking wintery.

When we saw New-York-socialite-turned-trendsetter-turned-handbag-designer, Tinsley Mortimer at the launch party for Versace Menswear 2008 at Barneys in NYC, we thought to ourselves, “How can we make Tinsley’s whimsical and ultra-girly style work for us?”
TinsleyMortimeryellow.jpg
By alluding to her voluminous ruffled shrug with a simple cotton-cashmere cardigan with a ruffle detail and switching her canary yellow chiffon dress to a more versatile jersey-knit tank dress we’re going to be able to wear these pieces all summer in a number of different outfits.

We love the idea behind Kerry Washington’s Oscar de la Renta ensemble, worn to this year’s Film Independent’s Spirit Awards, but we’re not quite sure it all came together.

KerryWashington.jpgSo we decided to take a stab at creating a similar look (more affordable of course) that borrows the color scheme (chartreuse and blue) and the silhouette (a high-neck with a voluminous skirt), but is ultimately much more wearable.
