Some starlets are really ensuring that all eyes will be on them on the red carpet. How, you may ask? By wearing red, of course! The ultimate power color has been popping up on many a red carpet recently.

Nikki Reed teamed a red one-shoulder dress with strappy Jimmy Choo heels for her appearance on Late Show with David Letterman last week. Emma Roberts chose a tomato red sheath and basic black accessories for GQ’s Men of the Year party. And Anna Faris attended GQ’s party in an adorable full-skirted red and white dress by Preen.

At the MoMA Film Benefit, Nora Zehetner turned heads in a strapless frock by Calvin Klein. (We love the architectural Calvin Klein heels she finished the look with.) Fashion darling Nicole Richie attended the Baby2Baby Winter Wonderland benefit in a sweater and skirt combo by Stella McCartney, which she teamed with a House of Harlow 1960 clutch and Salvatore Ferragamo pumps in ever-popular houndstooth. And can you even believe the glitziness of Kerry Washington’s colorblocked Prabal Gurung minidress?

One thing’s for certain: these starlets have certainly captured our attention!

Plenty of starlets know how to look sexy on the red carpet … just show up in black lace! While it may be reminiscent of lingerie, these celebs actually all pull it off in a sexy but tasteful way.

Alexa Vega chose a black and blush romper, while Malese Joy went with a feminine one-shoulder frock. Both were seen on the red carpet for the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1.

We love to see celebrities take chances on the red carpet. And there might be no bigger chance a celebrity can take than a dress with a plunging neckline. These celebs in particular have really gotten the trend right recently.

We’re loving Demi Lovato’s raspberry-hued gown, especially against her new red curls. Khloe Kardashian’s semi-sheer black gown is somehow witchy but chic. And Jennifer Aniston is most definitely a glamorous vision in a slinky glittery silver minidress.

It probably comes as no surprise that Nicole Richie wears House of Harlow 1960 pretty frequently—after all, it’s her fashion line! (Side note: we love everything in the line, especially the statement-making jewelry.)

Well, Nicole’s been spotted out and about multiple times recently not only wearing the line, but wearing something pretty specific—leopard print shoes! We love a red pucker, but lately we’ve been seeing many leading ladies wearing a dramatic eye and a nude lips. Amber Heard, at the Los Angeles premiere of her new movie The Rum Diarys and Eva Longoria, at the Padres Contra El Cancer’s “El Sueno De Esperanza” Gala have both went for this trend with out-of-this- world lashes and nude/pale lips. Paired with a chic updo this look drips with elegance and glamor.
