Maybe it’s the fact that both their names have the same initials, but Miranda Kerr and Minka Kelly were both spotted out and about recently looking super cute in denim shorts. We absolutely love the way each starlet put her own spin on the summer-ready style.

Miranda’s hot pink sweatshirt is so fun and bright against her faded pair. We’re loving the Western-inspired ankle booties and slouchy leather bucket bag, too. Minka’s paneled lace and chiffon top (with a zebra print bra peeking through!) is sweet and sexy, balanced by a menswear-inspired fedora and simple T-strap sandals.

We love a polished, work-appropriate look—and it doesn’t really get better than a chic blazer and skinny jeans. Celebs are definitely making it a trend as of late! We’re loving the very different ways Emma Stone, Rose Byrne and Jennifer Lawrence have made the trend their own recently.

Emma really stood out at a Comic-Con event for The Amazing Spider-Man in a Todd Lynn cutaway jacket, dark blue skinnies and animal-print heels. We love the way the blues look together and the subtle hint of animal print takes it in a bold direction.

The wide peaked lapels of Jennifer’s jacket contrast nicely with a simple striped tee, blue skinnies and black accessories. We love the boldness of the T-strap heels, especially teamed with iconic aviators.

Rose takes the trend in a preppy direction with a fitted tweed blazer and striped top. A simple black pump and whiskered skinnies give it a little edge.

Some celebs are really making a bold statement on the red carpet as of late … they’re wearing red pants. Jessica Alba and Rachel Bilson have both been spotted recently wearing different takes on the trend.

We’re absolutely loving Jessica’s use of color—the turquoise tee and yellow bag really do colorblocking right against her red trousers by Kate Spade. Rachel’s look is a little more understated but equally chic, with black and white separates balanced against a pair of wide-legged red trousers.

Would you wear red pants? We think they’re such a fun way to introduce a little color into your wardrobe in an instant!

There’s a new trend sweeping the red carpet as of late: cutout necklines. This daring look is definitely not for the faint of heart, as the celebs here will show you. If you don’t like all eyes on you (and your cleavage), it’s best not to attempt this yourself. But if you’re angling for a little extra attention, we say go for it!

Jennifer Morrison and Michelle Branch each played it a little safe with this more daring style with oval-shaped cutouts. We love the twist effect of Jennifer’s dress (though the black bra peeking out should probably have been taped out of the way with double-stick tape). Michelle’s cutout is sexy without actually revealing anything, which is definitely to be commended.

On the bolder end of the spectrum are Erin Carufel, at the Gone premiere, and Tatyana Ali (remember her from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air?) at the 5th annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon. Erin’s turtleneck dress is accented by an extra-large front cutout, while Tatyana’s angled cutout leaves very little to the imagination.

While we may be in the dead of winter, plenty of starlets are embracing bold, bright, super colorful gowns on the red carpet as of late. And a color that’s getting a lot of play right now? Bright, sunny yellow. Both Paula Patton and Vanessa Hudgens have been spotted wearing floor-length yellow gowns recently (at the Golden Globes and premiere of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, respectively).
