Ciara-at-Haze-Nightclub-Las-Vegas.jpgSuccessfully merging masculine and feminine styles can often be a tricky task. Just ask Ciara. The singer’s all-white look at Haze Nightclub in Las Vegas actually came from Givenchy’s Spring 2013 menswear collection. This borrowed from the boys ensemble was anchored by a Madonna printed T-shirt worn over a white shirt with an uneven hemline. She completed her monochromatic outfit with a pair of leggings, Givenchy’s 20mm grained leather high top sneakers and surprisingly delicate makeup. Some of these pieces may have worked as street style separates, but collectively the end result is just disappointing.

What’s your take on Ciara’s Givenchy getup?

AnnaSophia-Robb-Breakfast-At-Tiffanys-Broadway-Opening-Night-New-York-City-March-2103.jpgAnnaSophia got a lot of things right on the red carpet at Breakfast at Tiffany’s opening night on Broadway last week. Her on-trend black and white striped Alice + Olivia Paige leather shift dress was paired with bright fuchsia suede and snakeskin Jean-Michel Cazabat Lex platform pumps. The only thing we take issue with is her drastically out-of-place green Nanette Lepore bag. It’s unclear why AnnaSophia opted for such an oversized clutch, but the piece really takes away from the rest of her outfit.

Do you think her clutch pulled down the look?

Eva-Mendes-Vogue-Eyewear-Celebrate-Campaign-Launch-Beverly-Hills-March-2013.jpgEva has just been unveiled as the new face for Vogue Eyewear and attended the launch of the brand’s Spring/Summer Communications Campaign in Beverly Hills on Wednesday. Her yellow and pink floral macramé lace Valentino dress included a tulle bodice insert as well as a scalloped hem. We adore the pretty Resort 2013 creation, but find Eva’s velvet pumps a bit of a distraction. Her footwear’s burgundy hue doesn’t really fit in with the fresh vibe of the dress. That ornate gold Dolce & Gabbana clutch also seems to be competing with rather than complementing the rest of the look.

Do you agree that the actress should have opted for a spring sandal or do you like her slightly out-of-season take?

Kristin-Kreuk-2013-Canadian-Screen-Awards-Toronto.jpgKristin opted for a rather eclectic outfit at the 2013 Canadian Screen Awards this past weekend. The Beauty and the Beast actress hit the red carpet in a printed strapless Arthur Mendonça jumpsuit accented by a statement necklace from Shay Lowe Jewellery Design as well as Niki & Lola bangles. As if there wasn’t already enough going on with this chaotic look, Kristin felt the need to add in an Ela Handbags clutch and Alexander Wang Alla wedge booties. She really should have gone with the less is more approach, especially with such a graphic jumpsuit. All that gold jewelry and those hefty wedges really pulled down the look.

Now we’ve had our say, so tell us your thoughts on Kristin’s accessory overload.

Mindy-Kaling-65th-Annual-Writers-Guild-of-America-West-Coast-Awards-Los-Angeles.jpgMindy is not necessarily a fashion maven and we kind of love that about the comedic actress. That’s not to say she doesn’t occasionally impress on the red carpet. This black boxy mini dress by Saint Laurent not only featured padded shoulders, but also a sheer polka dot inset at the neckline and was a rather stylish selection for the 65th Annual Writers Guild of America West Coast Awards. What really ruined this look, though, were those red pointed toe boots. For someone of Mindy’s height, cutting off your legs at the ankles almost always leads to disastrous results. A nice black or metallic sandal would have been much preferred and enhanced the overall look, instead of ruining it.

Now we’ve had our say, so how do you feel about Mindy’s choice of footwear?
