Mindy is not necessarily a fashion maven and we kind of love that about the comedic actress. That’s not to say she doesn’t occasionally impress on the red carpet. This black boxy mini dress by Saint Laurent not only featured padded shoulders, but also a sheer polka dot inset at the neckline and was a rather stylish selection for the 65th Annual Writers Guild of America West Coast Awards. What really ruined this look, though, were those red pointed toe boots. For someone of Mindy’s height, cutting off your legs at the ankles almost always leads to disastrous results. A nice black or metallic sandal would have been much preferred and enhanced the overall look, instead of ruining it.

Now we’ve had our say, so how do you feel about Mindy’s choice of footwear?

Helen is universally respected not only for her acting abilities, but also for her elegance when it comes to the red carpet. So imagine the surprise when the Oscar-winning actress showed up to the 2013 BAFTA Awards over in London with pink hair. The usually silver-maned star didn’t do herself any favors by pairing her new hair color with a lined long sleeve Nicholas Oakwell Spring 2013 Couture chiffon creation. Her gray and pink gown featured white honeysuckle silk embroidery and was occasionally covered up by a silver wrap. The muted hue didn’t really play well against her newly brightened mane.

What do you think of Helen’s latest look?

She may be tied with Psy for song of year for 2012, but Carly’s performance outfit for her appearance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve surely won’t win her any accolades. The “Call Me Maybe” singer wore a black semi-sheer velvet crop top paired with an equally sheer red tulle Sachin + Babi Spring 2013 appliqué maxi. The skirt on its own is quite stellar, but seems to overwhelm Carly and certainly doesn’t go well with a crop top for a winter performance in New York City, even despite the star’s admission that she sported long johns underneath. We’re definitely not impressed with Carly’s ensemble, especially with the addition of statement earrings and those Madonna-era fingerless black lace gloves.

Apparently, there’s a bit of a dominatrix theme going on in Hollywood. Less than a week after Anne Hathaway’s bold Tom Ford ensemble, Krysten arrived in Las Vegas to celebrate her birthday in a black Hervé Léger by Max Azria Fall 2012 bondage-inspired creation. The Don’t Trust the B—— in Apartment 23 actress definitely has an edgy side when it comes to fashion, though she usually manages to impress with her unique choices. We might have given Krysten a pass since it was her birthday and at least the super-structured dress had a touch of sparkle, but those semi-sheer black Maddy platform boots from the Rachel Zoe Collection kill any hope of redemption.

The pregnant Cougar Town star had a busy morning on Wednesday announcing the nominees for the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards alongside Taye Diggs. At such a high-profile event, sophisticated is definitely the way to go, but Busy’s revealing Carven navy silk and lace dress with flared skirt didn’t quite fit the occasion. She’s practically busting out of the dress thanks to that strategically placed keyhole detail and the addition of a skinny red belt is really only drawing more attention to her bustline. The slightly outdated styling of having her belt match those red satin Giuseppe Zanotti pumps isn’t helping things, either. Busy has become known for her rather Bohemian style and we think that free-spirited nature suits her much better than this more coordinated ensemble.
