Mila Kunis usually wears looks we love, but this is not one of them. Seen above at the 50th Anniversary of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital charity event, Mila’s dress is full of contrast and (for us) confusion. We understand mixing fabrics and textures, but as far as we’re concerned this mix doesn’t work. Perhaps separately each half would make a great dress but together not so much. For what it’s worth, we love her hair, shoes and accessories. She’s worn other purple (or rather lilac) dresses we’ve loved but when we see this we have to say: what was she thinking?

For starters, Nicki’s wearing a giant swan around her neck. A swan. We’re all for animal jewelry, but why is it so large? Add to it the crazy ballerina tutu and the Wellies—seriously, Wellies on a red carpet?—and we are, quite simply, at a loss for words.
We know Nicki likes to be an individual and express her personal style, but we don’t think this outfit is all that stylish. Especially when you add in the crazy curly pigtails. We just can’t get behind this look.
We really don’t understand anything about this dress (the Acne Emile Dress). The strange yellow hue, the blousy fit, the one long sleeve … all wouldn’t be so bad, if it weren’t for the really awful hemline. We’re not fans of the mullet hem anyway, but especially not when the back is cut out to look like a frock coat and actually just looks like it was destroyed by a pair of scissors.
If you look closely enough, you’ll notice Solange painted her nails to match her dress, which we’re also not fans of—we just don’t like matching nail polish to our clothing that closely.
Actress Paz de la Huerta, who stars on the HBO series Boardwalk Empire, scores points with us in her lovely peach gown and full tresses at the network’s Emmy Awards afterparty, but misses the mark with her bare face and grayish lipstick. What was she thinking?
