best-of-2010-style-icons.jpg

Every year so many stylish ladies turn our head, that it gets increasingly harder to name only a few as the year’s style icons. This year, our style icons are women who constantly delighted us on and off the red carpet, and made us think of new ways to look at dressing. Here’s why we chose the stars above:

Rachel Bilson- It’s hard to talk about style icons without mentioning Rachel. Not only does she dress to the beat of her own drum, but she also manages to spark trends while doing so.

Sarah Jessica Parker- After all these years in the business, SJP still leaves us breathless on the red carpet. She continues to wear couture and emerging designers effortlessly.

Leighton Meester - This is the second Gossip Girl star who has wowed us with her style. We love that Leighton always goes for high style and plays with color, print, and silhouettes.

We can’t resist a great red carpet dress, and this year did not disappoint. Here are our favorite red carpet dresses worn by Hollywood’s most stylish stars:

Taylor Swift in Kaufman Franco-Taylor lit up the red carpet at the Grammy Awards in a sapphire colored sequined gown that fit her perfectly.

Anne Hathaway in Valentino- Anne was a vision in tulle and sparkles in a sweetheart ballgown at the Costume Institute Gala.

Eva Longoria in Emilio Pucci- Eva was chiffon perfection at the Cannes Film Festival in this ruched and tiered gown with an elegant train.

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta- Lea turned on the high glamor in a navy ruffled gown and a sparkling bib necklace.

best-of-2010-best celebrity-beauty-trend.jpg

2010 was a great year for celebrity beauty trends that actually looked good in and out of Hollywood. Here are our favorites:

Messy Side Braid- Forget the slicked down perfectly polished ponytail we saw in 2009. This year was all about coming undone. Stylish stars like Nicole Richie rocked the messy side ponytail with boho panache.

Cropped Cuts- Stars like Emma Watson, Christina Ricci, and  Ashlee Simpson Wentz are just some of the stars who chopped their locks, to give way for more sophisticated shorter looks.

Ruby Lips
- Old Hollywood glamor made a return as lovely ladies like Anne Hathaway wore ruby lips on and off the red carpet.
