Leather-Paneled-Tops.jpgLeather’s making a new name for itself on the red carpet as of late. Celebs are showing up for events decked out in the chic fabric, but only partially … because they’re wearing leather paneled tops!

At the premiere of The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete at the Sundance Film Festival, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson both showed up in different takes on the same trend. Alicia’s grey sweatshirt featured a large black leather panel down the front, which she teamed with dark blue skinnies and black leather boots. Jennifer added oxblood skinnies (the color is definitely having a major moment on the red carpet right now), studded black boots and a long side braid.

Who do you think wore the trend better?

Ashley-Greene-Andrea-Restaurant-grand-opening-at-the-Wynn-Las-Vegas-Encore-Resort.jpgAshley celebrated the grand opening of Andrea’s restaurant out in Las Vegas last week alongside several other celebs. She wore a Bardot leatherette sleeveless peplum top and the brand’s Gaga shorts. Naturally, the vegan actress opted for faux leather as opposed to the real thing, but it’s not the synthetic composition that’s the issue. Ashley’s pairing of the peplum-accented top with those slim shorts resulted in a slightly awkward silhouette. Her rather underwhelming accessories, including a black clutch and pumps, didn’t really elevate the ensemble.

We’re clearly not fans of the Twilight star’s two-piece outfit. So, what’s your opinion on Ashley’s Bardot look?

Laetitia-Casta-2012-Venice-Film-Festival-Premiere-of-The-Master-Sept-2012.jpgNicole-Kidman-2013-GDay-USA-Black-Tie-Gala-Los-Angeles-Jan-2013.jpg

Elie Saab has become a celebrity favorite on the red carpet and that’s why it wasn’t surprising to see two stars wearing the designer’s embellished peach cocktail dress from the Fall 2012 Couture offering. Laetitia Casta served as a jury member during the 69th Venice International Film Festival back in September and stepped out for the premiere of The Master in the tulle masterpiece. She also opted for a pair of coordinating T-bar sandals from the same collection. This past Saturday, the pretty peach dress was given another showing on the red carpet courtesy of Nicole Kidman. The Oscar winner attended the 2013 G’Day USA Black Tie Gala in Los Angeles and styled her Elie Saab with Fred Leighton earrings as well as light pink Bottega Veneta pumps. We definitely favor Laetitia’s take on the dress because Nicole somehow came across a little too fussy with her curly updo and rather standard pumps.

Celebs-Burgundy-Red-Carpet.jpgOxblood is definitely having a moment on the red carpet! So many celebs are showing up to events in varying takes on the color, which is just perfect for dropping temperatures. We love the deep jewel tone and the sophisticated feel of the hue.

Rose Byrne in a sleeveless shell and leather skirt looked polished at a Sydney film premiere, while the new star of The Carrie Diaries, AnnaSophia Robb, was cute and preppy in a paisley blouse and dark blue skinnies at SiriusXM Studios. For an event in NYC, America Ferrera donned a burgundy dress with cool brown boots. And even Duchess Catherine got in the spirit, wearing a burgundy chiffon dress to the unveiling of her official portrait in London.

What do you think of oxblood—and the celebs wearing it?

Sienna-Miller-BAFTA-Los-Angeles-Awards-Season-Tea-Party.jpgSienna seems to have hit a sweet spot when it comes to her style. The nominated actress opted for a colorful Erdem creation with pastel floral appliqués for the Golden Globe Awards this past Sunday and she arrived at BAFTA’s annual tea party outfitted in a perfectly pink Valentino. Her Spring 2013 dress featured delicate embroidery, which only enhanced the saccharine vibe. Capping off Sienna’s look was a neutral pair of Christian Louboutin pointed-toe pumps. We actually adore Sienna’s very feminine Valentino and hope she continues to express her softer side on the red carpet.

What do you think of Sienna’s sweet look?
