It’s always really interesting to see what fashion designers (and stylists) wear to red carpet events. Do they wear their own designs? Pick a vintage piece? Borrow something from their upcoming fashion show? Here’s Rachel Zoe, Vera Wang, Tory Burch and Rachel Roy at this year’s Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards.

How great does Halle Berry look in Marchesa at the Shanghai Film Festival? It’s our favorite red carpet look of the week (more like the entire month). The dress looks to be a variation of a gown from Marchesa’s 2009 Resort collection, but we can’t be sure. Maybe it was custom designed for Halle - it certainly looks like it was made for her. The huge bracelets are also the perfect complement to the dress..we really can’t find anything wrong with this look, can you?

In the battle of summer trends, we prefer harem pants to jumpsuits.

Beyonce wore a jumpsuit the other day, with some stunning footwear, but the outfit’s overall effect was just confusing and a little loud. Sienna Miller, on the other hand, makes harem pants look totally wearable. She paired it with another trend, the boyfriend blazer and we think the key to making a really trendy item work is to keep the look monochromatic (avoid prints when it comes to buying a trend).
