Alicia-Keys-Katharine-McPhee-Leather-Jackets.jpgA fitted leather jacket is always incredibly chic. So it’s no surprise that it’s quickly becoming a trend in Hollywood!

During a SiriusXM event for her Girl On Fire tour, Alicia Keys stepped out in a version by A.L.C. She spun it in a polished direction with a sweater vest and button-down combo. Her fitted Helmut Lang pants and Giuseppe Zanotti boots brought back a little edge.

At the screening for Killing Them Softly, Katharine McPhee took on the trend in a wide-lapel version with glam fur trim. Much like Alicia, she went for a button-down and fitted black pants, but finished the look with black pumps and a bold red lip.

Glamour was out in full force on Monday night for the 2012 Gotham Independent Film Awards. Celebs embraced everything from embroidery to cut-out accents and even slick menswear-inspired ensembles. Emily Blunt made a real statement in this white Calvin Klein Resort 2013 cut-out strapless dress, which was originally presented on the runway with a sheer overlay. The actress sported new lighter locks and an impressive Lorraine Schwartz statement necklace along with a Christian Louboutin clutch and Jimmy Choo Vamp sandals. Her best accessory, though, was her husband John Krasinski, also outfitted in Calvin Klein. French actress Marion Cotillard was back in Christian Dior for the annual event. Her Fall 2012 Couture navy dress included lapels as well as a textured skirt and was styled with a pair of the fashion house’s navy pumps and a Chopard necklace. One of Hollywood latest fashion “it” girls, Allison Williams, opted for this dramatic tulle Valentino Spring 2012 long sleeve gown with contrasting lace accents. Black sandals and striking silver jewels served as accessories.

There were a lot of unique looks on the red carpet, but we really like Allison’s risky yet romantic Valentino.

Miranda Kerr just makes chic dressing look so easy, doesn’t she? During a recent stroll in NYC, she stepped out in a pair of glamorous oversized cat-eye sunglasses—the Miu Miu Noir Catwalk Sunglasses, to be exact. And they’re made ever so much cooler by the fact that the frames are glittery gold!

At $390 on saks.com, these shades aren’t cheap—but if you’re looking for an item that’s totally splurge worthy this season, these will do the trick.

Helen-Mirren-New-York-City-Premiere-of-Hitchcock.jpgHelen-Mirren-Los-Angeles-Premiere-of-Hitchcock.jpg

Helen has been on a bit of a promotional whirlwind lately in support of her film, Hitchcock. First up was the movie’s New York City premiere, which saw the actress decked out in an ornate piece from the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 offering. Her black lace dress featured extensive gold embroidery and was teamed with a pair of the brand’s shoes as well as a matching shoulder bag. A few days later, Helen wore a similar dress from the same collection for the Los Angeles premiere. This black lace dress also included standout gold embroidery, but it was restrained to the neckline, waist, cuffs, and hem. She even kept the same black and gold shoes from the New York City showing, adding in coordinating floral earrings along with a Miss Sicily handbag.

Despite the similarity, we actually are a bit more enamored with Helen’s Los Angeles red carpet look. Which Dolce & Gabbana black and gold dress do you prefer?
