JenniferLoveHewitt.jpgWe’re all for Jennifer Love Hewitt taking a stand on body image issues, but that outfit on the left is not the way to go about it. Meanwhile, at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, Love proves that you can wear a roomy top (hey, isn’t that a dress though?) and still look slim as long as what you wear on the bottom is form fitting. Some might say wearing jeans underneath a dress doesn’t work, but we’ll take dark skinny jeans over leggings any day of the week.

MischaBarton.jpg
Does Mischa Barton realize she’s not actually a hippie? She’s must not have a stylist.

What else could explain how she ruined such an interesting See by Chloe print by pairing it with an unflattering cardigan and over-accessorizing it with two necklaces, a million bracelets, a belt and a headband?

If she’d paired her skirt with a plain T-shirt, the strange headband and gladiator sandals it would have looked amazing.

On second thought, we’re still not sold on the headband…

Check out Eva Longoria Parker’s closet, filled to the brim with heels (mostly Christian Louboutins), dresses, designer denim and clutch bags. It’s part of a slideshow on instyle.com featuring famous closets.

Among the others shown are Mariah Carey, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Maria Menounos.

Try not to be too jealous.

SarahChalke.jpgSarah Chalke wore Badgley Mischka last week during a guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother. The dress is actually still available at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Emily Sheath Dress, $498 at saks.com

If you keep up with the show, we’ve got a prediction for you: Sarah might become a regular on the show. Think about it - Sarah’s character mentioned she’d attended a St. Patrick’s Day party and left early and last episode, Ted said his future wife was at a St. Patty’s party he went to, but he didn’t know it at the time.

Catch a new episode tonight on CBS.

This time of year can be a tricky for fashionistas living in parts of the world with very pronounced seasons. It’s the transitional point between winter and spring when it looks pleasant outside, but once you leave home you realize how absolutely freezing it still is. With so many spring and summer looks already flooding the market, it’s hard to reach for that solemn black wool coat when you’re excited about wearing the new season’s bright colors. So borrow a page from Carla Bruni-Sarkozy’s fashion playbook and invest in a bracelet sleeve coat in a feminine floral color.

The former model was with her husband, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, on a trip to visit with Britain’s Prime Minister when she donned this vibrant purple coat (which still looks a bit too warm for our needs). We love this carnation-colored coat by Tahari as it provides just the right amount of protection from the elements without looking wintery.
