Although the exhibit may be called
Punk: Chaos to Couture, there were quite a few celebs at Monday night’s Met Gala who circumvented the chaos and went straight for couture.
Gwyneth Paltrow was probably one of the event’s biggest offenders in this bubblegum pink
Valentino gown with nude inset.
Wilfredo Rosado earrings completed her sweet look.
Blake Lively certainly represented the
Gucci Première brand well in a light green strapless gown with black organza skirt accented by an embellished feather pattern at the waist. A pair of
Lorraine Schwartz statement earrings polished off the stunning look. It was a marvelous
Marchesa Fall 2013 white embellished gown for
Heidi Klum on the red carpet.
Harry Winston gems and
Jimmy Choo shoes served as accessories.

Calvin Klein designed the rather ethereal ivory halter gown
Katie Holmes wore to the gala. The actress also relied on Lorraine Schwartz jewels to finish off her look. Model
Kate Upton arrived in an emerald
Diane von Furstenberg draped gown. The designer’s gold clutch rounded out the look.
Zac Posen was behind
Uma Thurman’s dramatic green gown with cascading train. She did make a bit of a rebellious statement, though courtesy of that
Efva Attling Funky Ring.
Despite the fact that these stars shunned the night’s established theme, we’re still impressed with the glamorous nature of their real show-stopping gowns. After all, isn’t going against the establishment what punk’s all about?
