Keira Knightley Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Natalie Portman Toronto International Film Festival

Keira Knightley, the new face of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume, wowed the crowd at a movie premiere at the 32nd Annual Toronto International Film Festival last week. We LOVE this look, it actually reminds us a lot of Natalie Portman’s red carpet style. The dress is stunning. The top of it has an edgy quality that contrasts with the rest of it and keeps the frills from looking frumpy. Her loose curls complement the dress and the shoes are simple and sophisticated without looking old-fashioned.

Way to go Keira! The stars seem to be wearing eggplant/aubergine a lot lately, no?

Also, check out the girl behind Keira on the right in the pumpkin-colored jumper. Cute as well, right?! We especially like the autumnal hue paired with the black tights, mary jane wedges and thick bangs. Tres chic.

KT Tunstall Drastic Fantastic Scottish
KT Tunstall was in London, England last week, promoting her new single, “Hold On.” You might remember KT’s last hit single, “Suddenly I See” from the opening sequence of The Devil Wears Prada. KT has always had a really fun style. Her cool-without-trying look is a great combination of femininity and rock and roll. The Scottish songstress’ sophomore CD, Drastic Fantastic, drops on September 18th. Anxious for more than KT’s album? We’ve replicated her outfit with finds at shopbop.com.

KT Tunstall Drastic Fantastic Scottish

Let’s break down the outfit: the sweater’s puff sleeve is very similar to KT’s — the look is girly, but the gray color keeps it casual. The jeans are a lot more distressed, but it’s okay since we paired it with a sweater with less detail than Miss Tunstall’s. And we’re loving these Frye boots, perfect for fall weather and under $200. Obviously, they haven’t been broken in, but a few months of wear will give them the slouchy comfort KT’s have.

FYI: Did you know KT is an environmental activist? According to her website, her tour buses run on bio-fuel, she loves eco-fashion and doesn’t own a car!

Bindi Irwin Launches Fashion Line Croc Hunter Bindi Wear International Australia Zoo

Bindi Irwin walked the runway (snake in hand) in Las Vegas last Wednesday to introduce her Bindi Wear International fashion line. Unlike Jessica Simpson, the Croc Hunter’s daughter is taking a stand for animal rights in the fashion industry and has been quoted as saying, “If we keep making them into boots, bags and belts what are we going to be left with?”

Bindi’s line of tees, shorts and dresses for kids age newborn to 10, carries environmental messages and tags made from recycled cardboard. Additionally, 100% of profits will fund conservation programs at Australia Zoo!

Keep checking bindiwearinternational.com for the latest and how to purchase.

The television starlets walked a red carpet made from recycled plastic bottles at last night’s 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards. Here’s the fashion scorecard:

2007 Emmys Fashion Red Carpet Jamie Pressley Debra Messing Eva Longoria

Best dressed of the night goes to Jamie Pressley (winner for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series) in St. John Couture. She had a baby four months ago? Her H Stern earrings were also really interesting and beautiful. Debra Messing’s Ralph Lauren dress was certainly nothing new, but undeniably stunning and we love the length of Eva Longoria’s Kaufman Franco dress (she also had the most interesting little box clutch).

We’re on the fence about…..

2007 Emmys Fashion Red Carpet Hayden Panettiere Vanessa Williams

Hayden Panettiere and Vanessa Williams - We love the color, fabric and crinkle-effect of Hayden’s gown, but it looks a little like maternity wear (amazing earrings again though). Ms. Williams definitely took a chance wearing sea foam green feathers, but we actually think the look kind of works.

The cheese stands alone……..

2007 Emmys Fashion Red Carpet Jenna Fischer

Jenna Fischer was the worst dressed of the night and in this picture it kind of looks like she knows it. The nominated Office star said she needed something comfortable because of a recent back injury. Jenna, we’re all about a flowy dress, but a solid color would have done the trick. Even just removing the out-of-scale bow would have been an improvement.

Honorable Mention goes to the following……….

2007 Emmys Fashion Red Carpet Julia Louis Dreyfus Minnie Driver

Julia Louis Dreyfus, Minnie Driver, Ali Larter, America Ferrera and Felicity Huffman all looked radiant on the red carpet…due in large part to the help of column dresses in solid jewel-tone colors. As you can see, wearing your hair down was the definite trend in coifing last night and no one did it better than Ali Larter. Felicity and Eva both wore adorable curls. Julia carried a Hochman Fuller clutch, which we blogged about here and America (winner for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series) sported a chic updo like Hayden Panettiere and Jamie Pressley.

An ill-fitting Grecian-inspired dress and clunky futuristic heels spelled out a fashion disaster for Beyonce Knowles at a recent press conference held to announce Jay-Z’s new 40/40 club in Las Vegas. The dress is nice, actually, but the hemline is a bit too short and the waistline hits too high on her (and a bad hair day didn’t help the situation). Next time, Beyonce…better luck next time.
