As always, there were winners and losers at this year’s Golden Globes - and we’re not talking awards.  Here are some winners in the fashion arena:

Emily Blunt dazzled in her form-fitting jewel embellished gown and Kate Winslett looked flawless in a strapless Azzarro dress with hair worn in soft, loose waves. Penelope Cruz wore a Spanish-inspired tiered dress from Chanel couture. Evangeline Lily and Jessica Biel wow-ed us from head to toe and Jennifer Hudson looked like the winner she was in her flattering Vera Wang. Well done ladies!

What do you think of these red carpet lovelies?

We hate to say it, but these gorgeous women missed the mark at last night’s Golden Globes. Beyonce’s hair and makeup was stunning, but her shimmering gold dress looked like a costume straight out of Dreamgirls. Salma Hayek’s ill-fitting draped dress did nothing for her fabulous figure. Sorry ladies, we still love you!

Sure to be one of the most polarizing looks of the evening was Cate Blanchett’s Alexander McQueen. We fall into the “hate-it” camp, finding the black lace fabric to be too harsh for her coloring and the asymmetrical style did not do it for us. Her hair and makeup was absolutely flawless though.

As for Rinko Kikuchi from the movie Babel, we don’t even know where to begin with this bizarre poofy, frothy dress.

Something about these looks missed the mark for us. We would have loved Renee Zellweger’s emerald dress if it was a bit shorter or longer, but this below-the-knee length was a bit awkward. Hilary Swank’s black column dress with bow trim was one of our favorites of the night, but she looked alarmingly thin in it.

We’re sure Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in person, but her goddess-inspired Marchesa gown had some awkward angles with it’s low-cut back and sides. Hair and makeup, however, were flawless. Too bad the same can’t be said for Sienna Miller whose strange braided ‘do competed with her stunning gold Marchesa dress.

These newly single ladies arrived looking gorgeous (mostly) and happy on the red carpet last evening:

Drew Barrymore glowed in her pale pink John Galliano for Christian Dior and Reese Witherspoon was absolute perfection from her bangs down to her red satin shoes - and yes, we love the short yellow dress. Unfortunately, Cameron Diaz’ Valentino was not our favorite - perhaps without the shoulder strap and too-bright lipstick, we might have loved her look.

The red carpet was awash in shades of blue last evening:

Eva Longoria wore a gorgeous navy Ungaro, Toni Collette a royal blue strapless gown and America Ferrara a purple Brian Reyes - making blue the red-hot color of the evening.
