The GQ Men of the Year Awards might be about men, but on the red carpet, it was the women who really sizzled! Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss and singer Jessie J both showed up in long gowns with seriously high, sexy slits, vamping it up even further with bold lips. Jessie J’s tuxedo style dress by Emilio Pucci not only had her flashing a whole lotta leg, but took her look in a much more sophisticated direction than of late. And we, for one, are loving it! The dress was sexy but not over the top, and the sleek bob and bold red lip accented it perfectly.
Elisabeth Moss’s one-shoulder Grecian gown was an arresting shade of tomato red, with a thigh-high slit that was attention-grabbing but still restrained. Her new blonde pixie cut could wash her fair features out, but with a bold red lip, all bets were off!
What do you think of the high slit and bold lip combo seen on Jessie J and Elisabeth Moss?

Amy Adams is ruched to perfection in a wine colored Helmut Lang dress. We love the way this dress has her totally covered but shows off curves with ease. We also like the way she took the dress a little more downtown with black suede booties instead of a more traditional pump or slingback.

Two different events, two different Pretty Little Liars stars … two very similar looks! Yes, each girl put her own spin on this trend, but Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale were each spotted this past week in bold prints and different takes on illusion details. Small world, right?Ashley chose a fun, flirty white floral frock with deep illusion cutout from For Love & Lemons (which, we have to say, we approve of—it makes this dress much more appropriate). She teamed it with accessories in varying shades of brown—sunglasses perched on top of her adorable bob, a long leather shoulder bag and T-strap leather wedges.
Lucy went for a more sophisticated look in a paisley peplum top with pretty floral lace inserts ($76 at topshop.com). She added bold jewelry, nude peep-toe pumps and a pleather mini by Free People. (Note: we love the angled zip pockets.)
Would you try either of these looks?
For being known as a master of boho style, Kate Hudson has really started getting into more tailored looks as of late. We love her in this Gucci suit on the red carpet at the 69th Annual Venice Film Festival for a photocall for The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The look is still pulled together but the wide leg pant and loose jacket speak to the ’70s aesthetic we know she often leans towards. We love the idea of taking the suit out of the office and making it a little more relaxed and stylish for a jaunt around town.
