Aimee-Teegarden-Emmy-Roundup.jpgIf you’re like us, you’re pretty sad that Friday Night Lights is over. So we were happy to see Aimee Teegarden on the red carpet a lot leading up to the Emmys!

We love Aimee’s new dark tresses—they really suit her a lot more than the blonde actually did. But what we’re really loving in both these red carpet outings is her chic, sophisticated style.

At the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party, Aimee paired a hot pink silk tank with a pleated maxi skirt and a bold statement necklace. For the Emmy Awards Performers Nominee Reception, she went for a plum silk blouse, curve-hugging miniskirt and lacquered pumps.

What we love the most is Aimee’s ability to show just the right amount of skin, looking chic and sexy yet completely appropriate at the same time. Both of these looks would be perfect for cocktails, a first date or even work in a more casual work environment.
Embellished gowns and technicolor hues reigned supreme at last night’s 63rd annual Primetime Emmy Awards. From Gwyneth Paltrow’s fashion-forward two-piece frock to Lea Michele’s simple chic red gown, we were not disappointed with the red carpet.

EMBELLISHED GOWNS

Gwyneth Paltrow, in Emilio Pucci, Emily Blunt, in Elie Saab, Julie Bowen, in Oscar de la Renta and Evan Rachel Wood, in Elie Saab dazzled us on the red carpet in dark shimmery hues. We love Gwyneth’s fashion forward look with its modern two-piece styling and intricate beaded detailing. We also loved Evan’s glamorous beaded gown.

Christina Hendricks, in Johanna Johnson, and Maria Bello, in Kaufman Franco also rocked the trend on the lighter side of things in shimmery pale gowns.

BRIGHTS

Dianna Agron, in Roksanda Ilincic, Sofia Vergara, in Vera Wang and Olivia Munn, in Carolina Herrera lent a pop of color to the red carpet in bright colors that looked sleek and stylish.

LOVELY LACE

Julia Stiles, in Georges Hobeika, Minka Kelly, in Christian Dior, and Ariel Winter looked elegant and feminine in luxe lace gowns in pretty cool tones.

RED GOWNS

Lea Michele, in Marchesa, Kate Winslet, in Elie Saab, and Kerry Washington, in Zuhair Murad were seen in red hot gowns; a trend we’ve seen on several recent red carpets. We love the way red gowns make a statement and the way each woman put her spin on this bold hue.

We know you have your favorites. Tell us the looks you loved!

Kourtney Kashdasian shows us that a plaid shirt can be anything but country in her Siwy Wasson top with its chic plaid print and cutout shoulders. Kourtney keeps the look simple and stylish by pairing her top with reversible jeans (granite on one side, black on the other). We love this casually cool look, and the effortless way she pulls it off.

Two trends were evident on the red carpet at the I Don’t Know How She Does It premiere in New York this week. (The decolletage of Christina Hendricks was also more than evident, but that’s another matter altogether.)

Celebs-Red-Dresses-I-Don't-Know-How-She-Does-It.jpgFirst up? Red dresses! We love the dresses that Emma Roberts and Olivia Munn wore at the premiere. Emma teamed her scarlet strapless maxi dress by Tibi with a black envelope clutch and eye-catching architectural gold necklace. Olivia’s Carolina Herrera dress and strappy heels were a bit more adventurous and daring.

Celebs-Gold-I-Don't-Know-How-She-Does-It.jpgTwo celebs really went for high-octane glamour on the red carpet. Jessica Szohr simply dazzled in a mirrored gold Marchesa minidress, which she teamed with Christian Louboutin suede pumps and a newly debuted blunt black bob. Sophia Bush was a bit more buttoned up—yet still super glam—in a gold sequined suit by Nonoo, Edie Parker clutch, vintage Chanel pendant and Casadei pumps.

We’re loving that these celebs took chances at the premiere with bold colors and interesting silhouettes. It’s so nice to see people having fun with fashion!
Olivia-Munn.jpg

Olivia Munn was red hot in Carolina Herrera on the red carpet for her new movie with Sarah Jessica Parker I Don’t Know How She Does It. Olivia kept the look chic by pairing her dress with strappy gold sandals and minimal accessories. Based on her recent red carpet looks, simple streamlined looks equals red carpet magic for her.
