2013 American Girl of the Year: Saige Copeland

I’m not quite sure what it is about the American Girl dolls but little girls everywhere are asking for them and I even remember asking for one myself when I was younger. While the historical characters are available at any time of the year, each year American Girl also introduces a limited edition Girl of the Year that is only available during the year it is released. Yesterday they introduced the 2013 Girl of the Year, Saige Copeland, an avid painter and horse lover with beautiful wavy brown hair, blue eyes, pierced ears and freckles. Saige’s story is about her journey with her grandmother to “save the arts” in her school. She helps to organize a parade and fundraiser to benefit the project but an accident leaves her wondering if she can help fulfill her commitments. If there is one thing you can give the special little girl in your life this year, it’s definitely the new Saige doll…she will love it. Each doll comes with the blue dress with geometric belt, brown buckle boots, turquoise ring and earrings and the book telling her story.
