Fall color trend: oxblood

From burgundy to cranberry, you can always count on deep, rich red tones to show up in force each fall. While this season is no different, fall 2012’s red is a little special…a little novel. Oxblood–a warm, complex red with hints of brown–tends to look absolutely fabulous on every skin tone. It’s also one of the most versatile reds in the spectrum. Worn with chocolate brown, it looks warm and autumnal. Pair it with black and you create a look that is striking and dramatic whether casual or dressy. And while it’s trendy this season, it’s not a color that will ever go out of style, which means it’s okay to splurge on a piece that you really love. By all means, wear your reds from past seasons, but make sure you pick up something in oxblood this fall.
