Four fall 2010 beauty trends that are coming your way

fall-2010-beauty-trends.jpgYes, it’s summer now, but before you know it, it will be time to think about fall. Luckily, we already know what’s coming down the pipe, thanks to Fashion Week back in February. Here are a few trends that we spotted that you can count on seeing when the weather starts to turn:

1. Blush is making a comeback. While the cheeks haven’t been the focal point of the face for some time now, we are starting to see more color and contour on those cheekbones. Try the Coastal Scents Contour and Blush Palette for everything you need for current cheeks. $18.95, Amazon.com.

2. Long, full, false-looking lashes are all the rage. Luckily, there are serums out there to help you maximize your current lashes, and tons of mascaras to help pump them up. Try Dior DiorShow Lash Plumping Serum, $28, Sephora.com, and Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara, $7.50, Drugstore.com.

3. Red, red lips. We’re done with the nude lip, ladies, it’s time to move on to fire engine red. With some experimentation, you can find the best red that works for you. The secret is in your undertones. Some people need a blue-based red and some people need an orange-based red. Consult with a professional to determine your undertones, if needed. In the meantime, you cannot go wrong with MAC’s Russian Red, $14, Nordstrom.com.
4. Dark nail polishes are coming back, but they aren’t your usual black, or even dark brown. What we will be seeing a lot of is deep, dark purples. A favorite and a classic in it’s own right is OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark, $6.99, Amazon.com. This color comes in the classic shiny finish or in matte, so you can switch it up or even create monochromatic designs.
