With school out, summertime is full of fun and play. It’s also prime season for scheduled medical procedures (think tonsillectomies) and little emergencies. My own daughter has already been in the OR and the ER once each over the past eight weeks, which made me abundantly glad I had scoped out and bought a few kids’ books written to take the fear out of a hospital visit. And even if your little one isn’t going to be spending time as a patient, the books featured here can help alleviate their worries if they visit someone who is a patient. File them away in the back of your mind for later or buy some of theses titles right now. Either way, they’re personally tested and approved (and in heavy reading rotation) by my toddler.
