Pantone report: Top color trends for Fall 2014

It may not even be spring yet, but the Fall 2014 shows at New York Fashion Week just wrapped, giving us a hint of what we have to look forward to next fall. According to Pantone and WWD, we’ll see a departure of traditional autumnal hues in favor of more unexpected ones.

The colors featured in the palette above include: Sangria, Aurora Red, Radiant Orchid (you’ve heard this one before), Mauve Mist, Cypress, Bright Cobalt, Royal Blue, Aluminum, Cognac and Misted Yellow. Interestingly, the colors are the same for both women and men except for the fourth color, where menswear opts for a grayer version of mauve called Sea Fog.
