For the fourth year in a row, O.P.I. has released its exclusive nail color for Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Pink of Hearts.
In support of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, O.P.I. will donate $25,000 as well as $5,000 to Rethink Breast Cancer in Canada.
Until this year, each exclusive lacquer has been a cream, light pink color. This year, they threw in a “shimmer of hope.” Though we normally prefer cream colors that aren’t pearlescent (since they tend to streak more when applying), the light, silver undertone in Pink of Hearts 2010 doesn’t really streak all that badly, to our surprise. Two to three coats (depending on your preference) gives you a light, neutral pink that has a nice, pearly sheen (especially in sunlight).
