The best sunscreens for body, 2012 edition

Best-Sunscreens-For-Body-2012.jpgLast week we brought you our 2012 installment of the best sunscreens for face. Do you really think we would leave body out of the equation? Check out the sunblocks and sunscreens we’re totally loving this year, which of course keep your body protected from the sun and looking its absolute best!

Avon ANEW Solar Advance Sunscreen Body Lotion
This lotion has quickly become one of our go-to sunscreens of the summer, thanks to its sweet yet not saccharine scent and the fact that it sinks into skin immediately. Plus the SPF 30 means we won’t burn on 97 degree days.

Lavanila The Healthy Sunscreen SPF 30 Body Cream
With protectants against harmful UVA and UVB rays, this sunscreen already made the cut. Add in a rich formula (without any greasy residue) and a deliciously subtle vanilla scent and we’re hooked.

Kiehl’s Activated Sun Protector Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50
We love a good SPF 50 for beach days (or laying out on the roof of a spectacular NYC apartment or gym). This one’s non-greasy formula–seriously, absolutely no evidence of it being on the skin only seconds after applying–plus the fact that a little goes a long way–makes it a sure standout.

CoTZ Pure The Healthier Sunscreen
Formulated with ingredients like shea butter, this one almost melts into the skin. We love that it’s water-resistant, too.

Josie Maran SPF 30+ Argan Sun Protection for Body
Argan oil is good for pretty much anything, from shiny hair to restoring moisture to the skin. And, since our skin tends to get dried out pretty fast in the sun, we’re totally loving this sunscreen with natural ingredients and–you guessed it–argan oil.

Neutrogena SPF 70 Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunblock
Not a year goes by that we don’t include this in our favorite sunscreens of all time. For a mist, it really covers every inch of the body amazingly well, with absolutely no greasy residue left behind. Plus it rings in at under 10 bucks.
